Last night I was ill. I was so ill that we thought I'd be having surgery today. I had a high fever, a headache...and other symptoms. This a.m. I seem normal again. I think it was simply too much walking in the heat yesterday.
This a.m. the children woke up covered in bites.....they wondered if they had chicken pox.....but I think we discovered chiggers. We've been told there are none here but we spent a good 40 minutes pawing through ground cover and I think we found chiggers.
Today we are paying for the fun we had yesterday. ::snort::

DeEtta,
ReplyDeleteDo we have to call Mike and have him tie you to the house? It sounds like your body is in need of more recovery time than maybe it has other times.... our bodies change (and age) so our recovery time varies as well.... take care of yourself and stay put and rest.
(having fun playing motherhen)
Glad you enjoyed your day, but sorry you are paying!
ReplyDeleteChiggers...yuck!
Make sure you rest up and take care of yourself.
Sorry to say this, but we DEFINATELY do have chiggers down here...We use something called "ChigARid" to help the itching stop. Hope the rest of your day (and week) is a quiet one.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry about the chiggers. To get rid of them quickly cover the spots with nail polish. Any color will do but we try to use clear so we aren't so colorful! This suffocates them and helps tremendously. so sorry you all are going through this. They itch terribly.
ReplyDeleteDe'Etta, TBTG you didn't need surgery. Praying the itchiness subsides quickly and the rest of the week is peaceful and uneventful.
ReplyDeleteARGH the kids are going to drive me crazy. I went to walmart and bought some chiggerex thing that supposed to help. They did the clear nailpolish this a.m.
ReplyDeleteThey got these ALL the time in San Antonio but they never moped around, grumpy and such like they are today.
Sis:
ReplyDeleteOuch!! Hate those chigger bitesT yuck! At our age we can't itch to hard cuz it breaks blood veins just under the skin. Guess we must be getting older. That is Dad/I. :):)

Praying you take the break you need to get better and also praying for the kids. Chiggers are not fun!
ReplyDeleteOuch! We got those once when we were visiting relatives in KS! It grossed me out! I can't barely tolerate bugs I can see. The chiggers about put me over the edge (LOL).
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness . . chiggers are not fun. I remember my grandma got them and she was miserable. I will be praying for you all that the itching stops and the bites heal quickly.
