Mike and Jamin got home while Nolan and I were at speech therapy. We had "one errand" to run. We had ordered an ice cream cake from Coldstone. It was supposed to look like a book and have "The King of the Reid" on it. We ran to Coldstone and they brought out a cake that didn't look like a book and said "King's Rides". Huh???? They asked me to give them 30 min to get it right.
Nolan and I took my Ephesians study book to Kinkos. I like to have the binding snipped and three hole punch them. Then I can add in any word studies, extra info, etc as I go along.
We still had time. We went to Butterfly Life and inquired about their program. Has anyone used their program before? They have the whole circuit thing, cardio classes, nutrition and fashion classes.....contracts....I don't know. It is certainly closer than the base, but I CAN do weights in my garage and videos in my bedroom, and I can use the elliptical at the base....for free...no contracts. They do offer a one-week pass....anyone local want to do it together for a week? ::snort:: I doubt that this is for me, BUT I WANT IT TO BE FOR ME. LOL
The cake was ready, finally. I had planned a nice dinner for Jamin - but he wanted CHINESE TAKE OUT. He said he was tired of 5 - star cuisine. ::snort:: The conference was at the Broadmoor. We spent the afternoon hearing stories, laughing, catching up.....then had our Chinese and then...the surprise.
Doesn't look a lot like a book does it? ::snort:: Ah well, it was sweet and a surprise.
There have been record breaking snows in Spokane the past few weeks.
Krista called me at midnight to let me know that she'd fallen off a 12 foot roof TWICE that day. Master's students have been shoveling walks, getting snow off roofs, etc for others. She said she didn't have a bruise, and I told her to tell me TODAY how she feels. She told me not to freak out.
Freak out? Me? Oh no. I'm going to tell her father when he gets home today, and HE will freak out. ::snort:: I'll be the oh so cool and calm parent. ::snort:: Last night we had discussed how Krista would start a job and refuse to quit or admit it was too big for her (Arielle had done the same) - ironic she would call....
