Zander has spent three days singing, "Japan, Japan, Japan, OH YEAH, JAPAN!"
I walked in from the gym this a.m. and he said, "Mom, if we leave here I'm going to lose a lot of friends." I explained that that is true. {I don't mean to be morbid but it HAS been our experience that most do not do well at keeping in touch when you move....though some will.} I told him that he'd miss his friends but that we could send emails, read their blogs...Jamin said to get his friends to get a facebook. ::Snort::
He looked at me and said, "But, Mom, YOU are going to lose all your sisters! too!!!!"
"What sisters, Zander?" I asked.
"All your co-op sisters!"

Zander is quite the perceptive young man.
ReplyDeleteI didn't realize how much moving bothered James (my almost 16yo) until Wed at Bible study. The teens were talking about trials in their lives. Most talked about the death of a family member or friend while while James was very direct about being yanked around every two years (I think that was the word he used; it was definitely one with a negative connotation)
What a sweet sweet boy!
ReplyDeleteSis: What a wise little guy with big understanding and insight. Lots to pray for him about. What a special young man.
ReplyDeleteGive him a great big hug from us.

He is really working through all his feelings about this move. Sounds like a happy little song about Japan!
ReplyDeleteHe's really pondering things ahead of time.
