Are you chuckling, Debbie (in NY)? I've shared with Debbie before that when life feels "out of control," I change the blog....something "under my control".
I finally got some of our new family photos loaded into the sidebar...but I can't decide if I like the big photos, or if I should go back to thumbnails? What do you guys think? Does it make difference in the loading time?

I like the photos that are there. I also liked the thumb nails though. I don't know which one I prefer.
ReplyDeleteNone of the photos want to load for me, but I've been having trouble with my 'bronze' level DSL service lately. We've been praying for you as well- you and your kids are such an inspiration to me. I can't imagine being in your situation with my five!

ReplyDeleteI like it and it didn't make it longer to load for me. I have cable internet, though.
ReplyDeleteI didn't have any real issue, but then again I have cable, and your site has been cashed in my web-browser. Sites that have been cashed always load faster then sites that have not been cashed.
ReplyDeleteYou can clear your cookies, cash, etc and test your own site speed using: http://www.numion.com/Stopwatch/
Remember not everyone has cable or DSL, tons of people still have dial-up. You want your site to load in 5 seconds! That's the best,
Up to 10 seconds is okay, but you may start to loose those readers that have dial-up still.
If it's more then 10 seconds then it's bad for everyone!
Linda - I also like the larger ones so I can see the FACES of everyone.....I'll leave them large until I have more time to upload thumbnails if that is the direction I go.

Oh I LOVE the big pictures! I especially love that they were taken here...like you and yours still love here ;-)

I'm cracking up with you about changing the blog... I think I do the same thing!

ReplyDeleteLOL - I don't know that the new look will last long. I had put the patriotic 4th look up the end of June and was leaving it until we arrived in Japan (due to be 7 July in Misawa)...but you know that story.
