Our Home Saga

The house in San Angelo may well sell.

They offered $9,000.00 less than our asking price. Mike made a counter-offer. I made sure Mike knew I was willing to SETTLE. ::snort::

Mike called our realtor at midnight and counter-offered for $4,000.00 less than our asking price. We suspected they'd come back with a lower offer and we'd take it at that point....and we prayed they didn't back out.

They accepted. It's a cash sale. I'm not sure when we close. They're tracking down Josiah to sign some papers today and the deal will be ready to go.....inspections here we come.

Time to get ready for Sunday....in addition to services....

We're looking at a car today. Living so far off base (3 miles), we'll need two cars. I'd like something smaller to drive. These roads are NARROW and if you slide into a farmer's field you are responsible to pay for his crops....he can ask for crops for years and years if you've damaged the environmental make up of the field...there are little irrigation ditches along the side of the road (where we'd have shoulders in America)...the width of the ditch is the exact size of a tire....which can be treacherous in the winter when the ditches are covered with snow. I'd really like a car that doesn't take up quite so much of the lane. Mike found a couple for us to check out.

We also hope to catch another Summer Festival parade tonight.

  5. Praise the Lord! If they're paying cash, at least you don't have to deal with silly requirements of the mortgage lenders. Maybe those of us in TX may meet your buyer family. That would be a little bit like still having you here. (Sob!!!)
