We've had accidents that we've paid for ourselves as well to avoid the insurance going through the roof (as if it isn't already expensive). It just seems crazy. "We have insurance, but we don't want to use it." Ugh!Lindahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08412985335586341274noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16366204.post-85073796897648908292011-02-02T19:48:46.896-09:002011-02-02T19:48:46.896-09:00Insurance - the first one was over 30 years ago - ...Insurance - the first one was over 30 years ago - doesn't count towards our insurance. My last one in AK was 9 years ago....also off my record.

Currently we pay for insurance on stored vehicles in the states and two beaters - the cheap policies here.

As for insurance paying for repairs - no we will. If they have to pay our insurance will go through the roof.....and as for insurance paying for the tree - things are just different here. We will pay for the tree - and we hope to get off that easy....some find themselves paying for the "life time productivity of a field" when they slide into a field etc.

I think we are really blessed. The man who is repairing our car said it sounded like they were going to just let the tree slide and not make a big deal about it - and really the big tree was fine...the little one not so much...but it will grow back quickly.DeEtta @ Courageous Joyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06726346272268287588noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16366204.post-78911635540516627282011-02-02T18:57:16.353-09:002011-02-02T18:57:16.353-09:00Goodness, thankful you're all alive despite ac...Goodness, thankful you're all alive despite aches and pain. I had ...How in the world can you afford insurance? I had a fender bender in Dallas in April 2008. It's killing us on our insurance. We pay over $100 to insure Greg and I only with 2 older and paid-for vehicles. Landon can't get his license (he's 18), because we can't afford to pay insurance for that ($200 more a month even without an additional car). Gerren will be 16 in March and doesn't even have his restricted - same reason. (Of course, we've told them they could get jobs and pay for their own insurance, car, etc.) :) Ugh!Lindahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08412985335586341274noreply@blogger.com
