I would get so stressed and anxious that I'd always muck it up with silly arguments. Which made the aiport goodbyes all very traumatic. I once read a Dorothy Parker story called The Lovely Leave which summed up exactly how it was for me. Poignant.

Maybe because of those years of frequent and sometimes prolonged separation, we now savour eachother quite a bit. {g} I guess we're all different. Tough times bring out the worst in me. It sounds like they bring out the best in you and Mike.{g}Romanyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01725826881848148814noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16366204.post-31762472789989086502010-02-16T17:03:22.660-09:002010-02-16T17:03:22.660-09:00De'Etta, I am praying for you and Mike and the...De'Etta, I am praying for you and Mike and the children. Another dear friend's hubby has left (still in the states, but just waiting for the day). I actually think he and Mike might be in the same place. I'll email and I know Bryan would love to meet Mike.
Anyway, thinking of you.Debbiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06170186776403419013noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16366204.post-21780034586353940072010-02-15T18:51:42.196-09:002010-02-15T18:51:42.196-09:00Sis:

LIKE did you ever think you would see your Dad/Mom having short kisses at a public swim pool? Well savoring hits those growing older also.

HOWEVER, we know prayer is essential to you all the next few months so you will get extra from us.

love/prayers --- Mom T.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16366204.post-58494759239805518412010-02-15T06:28:23.838-09:002010-02-15T06:28:23.838-09:00I love that savoring part. You'd think Doug was going to be gone for months instead of just 5 days.

We've really learned to live in the moment and cherish each other and our relationship. We've learned that something we'd maybe want to say no to, will most likely be a yes because there may not be an opportunity for that for a while. It's been the one good thing that we've learned with this lifestyle.

I will be praying for you. I always do but rarely post. Hopefully you'll remember everything you need to do when you do the trial. I'm praying extra for Stacia and Zander.Kellyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03810827017613969060noreply@blogger.com
