Here it is - outside my front door...and here it will stay because I can't get it in the driveway, which slants and the ally is narrow. It will stay here until Mike is home to move it....or until someone else who knows how to drive these things wants to move it. ::snort:: I'm a bit worried about the mailman and the neighbors...but if they ask I'm going to say, "Does your dh know how to drive something like that???" I am simply NOT moving that thing an inch further.
Mike grew up in a camping family. They tent camped, camped with tarps, had various campers, and even a little motor home. Grandpa Earl called his motor home the "dream boat". We are in the midst of coming up with an appropriate name for this trailer....maybe dream boat....one of my nameless children suggested "big rolling turd". OK - I explained that his suggestion was in bad taste (and I laughed - sorry) and that we wanted a complimentary name. We've thought Road Whale - which is a term Darshia's dear husband introduced us to when we were camping at Mt Denali. Send in your suggestions....winner gets a family of 11 parking outside THEIR home for a week and using their water and electricity. ::snort:: OK - nah I'll think of something for the winner. LOL
Josiah went to pick up the older boys from their ministry team. I'm sure they'll all want to open it up and look - so we'll take some more pictures, but I knew the girls and Mike would want to see evidence of the purchase asap....
I sure hope someone doesn't sideswipe the slide out when I show the boys...hmmm.....
ROTFLOL...my sides hurt and tears are rolling down my face. I don't know which one of your children made the wonderful name suggestion, but it sure had me laughing!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to hear what you name it.
Maybe you have to live with it for awhile to know it's name. Nothing comes to mind at first look here but maybe my kids will have something tomorrow, or maybe kid suggestions are not good going by what yours came up with. It is kinda an interesting shape....
ReplyDeleteIt is bigger than an elephant, maybe it's bigger than a dinosaur!
Very nice RV, De'Etta. In the Robin Williams moving RV, they called theirs the big rolling turd. Probably a nicer name would be good lol.

Yes a NICER name is called for....we dreamed of this thing for years....we're not calling it a turd. ::snort::
ReplyDeleteVERY NICE! I bet you're going to LOVE IT!
ReplyDeleteIf our weather ever warms up, I'll have to go out and take some pictures of our new camper, too. I haven't even been in it since the boys brought it home.
Sis: Nice looking. Dad said he'd love to help you move it. :):) He wants to drive so much. Was starting to drive the automatic some and then the Dr. said back to 30lbs weight so nix the driving even tho it is the left side.
ReplyDeleteBet you all take off in just a few days of Mike getting home.... Won't be long and you will have it all packed and ready to go.

Sis. Sorry forgot about a name. Like the one suggested by your child. :) just kidding.
