Shower Checklist?

Does anyone else think they need a shower checklist?

Lather Hair

Rinse Hair

Put in Conditioner

Wash all parts - begin at the top and don't stop until you reach your toes or you are sure to forget something....

Rinse soap....

WASH YOUR FACE

Did you remember to RINSE OUT THE CONDITIONER?????

Shoot - I know I'm getting old when I get out of the shower and still have shampoo in my hair - something went WRONG. Trish told me at the park today that she has a routine and then just does it. ::snort:: Well - SO DO I....but obviously I am having trouble remembering where I am IN the routine.

Maybe I could laminate it and put it up above the shower tile.....

And since I'm making checklists....how about

Do NOT put the Preparation H on your toothbrush....

Do NOT confuse the eye makeup remover with the fingernail polish remover....

Put that mascara down and make sure you put your eye shadow on!....

Dorothy.....am I joining your decrepitude club? Can I?

  1. LOLOL.....

I do the same thing in the same order. I may forget to shave my underarms or something. I once forgot to brush my teeth because I didn't do it before moisturizing UGH.

  2. I shampoo (only condition once or twice a week, I have short hair), then wash my face (and rinse), then work my way down. After that, if necessary, I shave, and pumice the heels if they're acting like velcro on carpet (eeek!). I got out of the shower 2 days ago and forgot to rinse out the conditioner. - you are NOT alone!

My favorite "remember" - check to see if the toilet seat is up or down...or fully down...at night. There's nothing worse than stumbling into the bathroom 90% sleeping and either falling it (rude awakening) or sitting on something fuzzy, and not figuring it out till it's too late.

But the mere fact that I am getting up in the middle of the night is enough to qualify me for a decrepitude club!

  3. This is such a riot.

I have a very precise night time routine, if it gets changed at all, I'm apt to forget to brush my teeth or go to bed with my contacts in!

It is so wonderful to experience these aging moments. Can I join your club too, Dorothy!?

  4. I HAVE A ROUTINE - just like all of you...but if someone interupts me while I'm engaging the routine - I am very apt to forget where I am.....

  5. An old friend of mine swore by Preparation H as an inexpensive wrinkle cream.

My mom accidentally sprayed her underarms with PAM cooking spray instead of deoderant. LOL

  6. DeEtta,

I think you just qualified for a year's free membership with the prep H thing.

At least you didn't go into the shower and wonder what you were doing there? That's gets you free life membership.

  8. LOL

I am really not close even considering a membership to the club but I have gotten out of the shower with shampoo/conditioner still in my hair. what tipped me off was that my hair seemed awfully stiff...

  9. HUMMM! Let me see! I don't really know what you are all talking about. :)

Routine! What is that? :):) Actually at my young age routine is not needed as much BECAUSE by now doing things a certain way is so a part of me that there is no other way of doing things. :):)

Maybe it is this 2nd childhood thing that makes me feel young, once in a while? :):):)

    l/p
