Summer Clean-Up Update!

Here's one of the AFTER shots!

In the process I found - several sets of Christmas cards (5 boxes times many years), an unfinished quilt, little lights that say "I Love You" (I hung them above the mirror - see how I get sidetracked?), lots of OLD SL science kits, the Readerware software and scanner, the bunko basket (anyone local like to play couples bunko???), a HUGE rubbermaid container of art/craft supplies, enough tissue paper to fill a big box (I buy new each time I have a gift because I can't find the tissue paper) and TWO BOXES of photos that need to be put in photo albums....

This closet had really become the "toss it in there if you don't have a spot for it" closet. I have that whole set of plastic drawers that are EMPTY - but I'll fill it. One of us hates to throw out boxes so I found boxes to anything that had been purchased in the past 2 years.

Hey - haven't I TOLD y'all REPEATEDLY not to put me on a pedastal. I'm real people! ::snort::

I believe this is the LAST area that was waiting to be organized since our move. In my defense I was 8 1/2 months pregnant when we moved in here....then on bedrest for 3 weeks after the labor. ::snort:: Then my girls left home and it's taken me a while to get a routine going.

  2. Ugh...closets. I wish I had some proper storage space. The worst thing about a small house is that everything you have is on view!

    Be thankful for them!

  3. I knew you'd finish that closet yesterday :)

I need to do the same with my school room. And the boys need to do their rooms! I can't stand their rooms (they aren't as bad as your closet, but *I* don't like them ;)

Anyway....great job! Now you can read ::snort::

I do the same thing with tissue paper........

  4. Job well done! You're inspiring me now.

My work room is the "catch it all-overflow room." Gh gave it to me to make my own "sanctuary" 4 years ago...It's time to dive in and declutter!

  5. DeEtta,
WHEW! Good Job! Glad to hear that more than one of us has a Junk closet. Amazing what you can find during all of this. Looks like good picts so far. Have you tried it during movement?

  6. Okay, back to hanging my head in shame...you cleaned that in less than a day! I am so not an organizer!

Great job, by the way! It looks great and now you are ready to start school! :-)

  7. Beth - yep - some of the photos from the last couple of days have been action ones. The only time I really don't like the delay is when you are using the digital zoom.

Debbie - no I'm NOT ready to start school ::snort:: I decided to use redesign so had best order!

  8. Looking GOOD! I have a couple of closets that need some attention, but not until all of my rooms are back to normal.... painting the bathroom, texturing the walls, etc....

  9. oh, you've shamed me (or my closet shames me).
I will go clean it today.
    Or tomorrow.
