I LIKE the black backgrounds because the make my photos POP....but its a bit dreary to be greeted by all that green and black day after day (so it's only been 3 days - I HAVE to have a reason for changing the look again so quickly. ::snort::).
Here's the thing - it's LATE here and I'm tired. ALL color fonts are hard on my eyes. I got Jamin to give his opinion...but if this is truly nasty....I'll go with a different color font in the a.m. He thought black would work well....I thought a bit lighter....who knows....but feel free to leave your color suggestions. We thought white was a bit stark - I left gray in the sidebar - but it seems light too....
Mom, is this better than "putrid green"? ::snort::

Ooooh D, I'm finding the dark colour really hard to read. I'd have thought white would be much better.
ReplyDeleteI like light words on a dark background or vs... dark and dark or light on light is hard for me to read. I REALLY like the flowers though!
ReplyDeleteSis: WHEW! I not really to good of a judge. After I get my eyes taken care of and the cad's replaced then maybe I can read. :):) The putrid green was better and etc. Love all these colors but not just this way. HAVE FUN working on all of this.
ReplyDeletelove/prayers Mom T.
::snort:: So I had light and someone complained and I went dark....it doesn't seem to matter to me one way or the other...so I'll try light again and see if that helps most who read...and BTW I do believe your screen and video cards matter on this because the colors are totally different on each of our computers. ::Snort:: Makes digi scrapping a bit of a gamble. LOL
ReplyDeleteCindy - Dorothy - others - gray or white text? I thought white but some said it was "hard to read" so I muted to gray.....but I would think white is easier.... let me know what you all think...and of course I'm sure to change it up in a week or so anyway. LOL

ReplyDeleteSince three of you don't like the burgundy text, I switched to white.
ReplyDeleteBUT I have to say I agree with the one who complained to me about white text...the white hurts my eyes.
I left gray as the visited link - can't decide if that is easier on the eyes than white and still ok for those of you who like light on dark....
Funny how different eyes will see things differently.... I left the text burgundy in the side bar because 1. I like the tie in with the little flowers, 2. I like to set it off from the blog posts and 3. I like the look. ::snort::
Honestly, I know what I wrote so it doesn't matter if it's hard on my eyes to read it - I guess. But I'm glad that someone emailed me privately about white on dark because I DO also find that very hard to read and it's nice to know that I'm not alone. LOL
I like the new look! :)
ReplyDeleteI really like the white, but of course you should do whatever you want to do (LOL).... The burgundy looks nice with the flowers, but it is definitley harder for my old eyes to read... I have not problem at all reading the white even without my glasses on.. with the burgundy I find I have to squint and think about reaching for my glasses (LOL)....
ReplyDeleteI wonder what this means about my eyes....I have no trouble with the burgundy but squint for white - but I need 200x glasses to see ANYTHING closer than 3 feet away. ::snort::
ReplyDeleteSeriously - part of this has to be different computer screens because it is AWFUL on one of ours and tolerable on the other. LOL
Mmmm...well I love the white. The grey seems to disappear and the burgundy is almost undreadable - All with my reading glasses. I guess it must depend on your computer, then.
