Care to Guess....

...when we'll know where we are moving this summer?

We had been told early - mid February. All around us others are getting orders. Now that Mike is gone the kids (and I) are worried that someone will forget to tell us where we are moving....or that we'll hear where we are going through the grapevine.

Maybe a contest would help pass the time. ::snort::

Leave your best guess - and really it's totally random here - as to when we'll find out the location of our next home.....

  1. When? I think Mike will be told the day he returns to the office or the assignments officer could call him although they might not have his govt celphone # (I'm assuming he has one but then he may not have taken it since he can't be "on duty" when so far from his duty station).
I say you get assigned to Columbus AFB

  4. Alright Holly and Deja - this is not helping my equiliberium. LOL

Assignments are dropping - I hear new ones every day.

Renee - he DOES have a govt cell phone and a govt laptop because we have an ORI in March. He's working on leave....and I would assume his Supervisor will call him as soon as he knows. In the AF chaplaincy the assignments officer calls your Wing Chaplain who passes the word along. You can BET I'm checking the answering machine.

Just heard one of our chaplains is going to Italy...so we know we won't go there... LOL

  6. I always love when they're "on leave" but still working. My dh has done that as well... sigh. Okay, so it's not Italy.... drats, that's one of our favorite places to vacation (not that we'll be doing that again any time soon).

Be sure if you bump into the wing chaplain to casually mention this summer's PCS :)

I don't know what an ORI is but if it's anything like an Article VI visit, there's lots to do to prepare.

  7. Renee - ORI is a big inspection.

I didn't find the priest to bump into today to casually pummell him for information. LOL
