I'm determined to get photos in safe albums NOW before they sit another 3 years.
I'm doing naked albums and that's the way it IS. When I hit the point in time when we switched to digital photos, I'll switch to digital scrapping. That will be considerably less space and weight to move. LOL I think I'll do more of a hybrid style when I get caught up to 2009....which may well happen. ::snort::
I've reached the spot where we got married. Yep - 1984. Would you take the photos from the wedding album and add them in to the family chronological albums.....then they'd be safe....or wait and scrap them later.....?????

I'm not a scrapbooker. All my pics are just in chronological order in albums. Although our wedding photos are in a separate album.... I think you're smart to get the pics in albums and worry about the scrapbooking part later...
ReplyDeleteFunny you should ask this! I just decided to make a separate album for my wedding photos simply because I know how much I loved going through mom's wedding album. It also helped to have them all in one place when their 50th anniversary came around. I am hoping to work on my wedding album on Monday.
ReplyDeleteSafer is better...put them in with the others for now.
ReplyDeleteI am not sure what to do....because once you use that tape runner stuff to put photos in an album....they are HARD to remove without damage..... maybe I'll go find a cheapo slide em in album that is safe and put them there until I have time to really scrap the album..... who knows? Maybe the album they are in IS safe...it is from a photo studio.
ReplyDeleteYOU GO GIRL! I've completed ditched the notion of trying to scrap chronologically. You might recall I've talked a bit about it on my blog in the last year after reading the Photo Freedom book. Now all of my nonscrapped pictures are in simple 3 up Costco 3 ring albums so we can all flip through them and enjoy them while they are waiting to be scrapped. There is NO WAY on earth I could possibly scrap every photo so I'm concentrating on telling the stories that I want remembered and will now pull them out of the "storage binders" (Costco 3 up albums) when the mood strikes!
