A few quick thoughts. I've been dealing with a lot of "things" this week, from the trivial to the profound. I've struggled to LIVE SURRENDERED....not just pray it in the a.m.
Yesterday, God brought me back to this Psalm..."Surely I have composed and quieted my soul; Like a weaned child rests against his mother, My soul is like a weaned child within me." Psalm 131:2
I was fanning the frustration, focusing on the confusion and God calls me to compose and quiet my soul....and so now I'm trying to LIVE SURRENDERED and deliberately choosing to compose, still, smooth, quiet, silence my soul. He is God. He's on the throne...in the trivial and the profound.
Compose - level, smooth, set (H7737)
Quieted - be silent, still, struck dumb (H1826)

ReplyDeleteThank you for those words of wisdom.
Been prayig for you folks a lot.
love & continued prayers,
Mom T.
This is beatiful and timely for me to read. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteI was awake in the early morning hours praying to break through confusion and seeking His will in an offer I've received. I finally stopped praying and surrendered to the song of praise that just kept getting louder in my head. I still don't know His will, but I have more peace. I'm hoping being more relaxed will help me hear Him clearly when we connect. Perhaps the peace in spirit is His answer...hadn't thought of that until now.
please try skyping us. Email won't go thru either. :)

Hi, FYI DoDDS schools are friendly to homeschoolers. The Cummings ES principal used to be at Yokota when we were there (Mr. Sterry).I know y'all are having fun doing your own thing. Just know they're there if you want to use their facilities or extra classes (art, host nation, etc). Can you tell I've been researching stuff online? We're trying to get back to the Pacific....
ReplyDeleteYes, the DOD schools are available...and you only have to register to use the library etc....but we don't want to register at this point. We'll see.
ReplyDeleteSome of my favorite new friends are DOD teachers.
Just checking in one last time before we leave. Talk to you later. We're headed out in a few minutes.
