Full Day

I baked bread, made pancakes, went to Jared's basketball game, had lunch at Joe's - YUMMMM - picked up more Theraflu for Mike, took Jamin to work, bought a TURKEY (which is in the FRIDGE with a sign that it should stay in the fridge) and roast, watched a game of Monopoly and Life, talked with my brother on the phone, talked with my Mom on the phone, watched the Nutcracker DVD and then Opening Season...and now I'm posting a few photos.

Mike finally called uncle and called the reinforcements in to preach tomorrow. I'm praying he kicks this quickly and can enjoy the time with the girls. He's pretty miserable.

Krista has put in 30 straight hours at work. She knew she wouldn't be able to drive home in the snow, so she volunteered to work extra shifts. She'll be here Tuesday. It would not be too early to begin praying that she has as smooth a trip as BreAnne and David did. ::wink::

"Sorry, David!" It's become a game for Zander and Nolan to get Bre to sit between them and then inevitably, Zander will say, "Sorrrry, David!"

I told them to look excited!

Saints 29 - Warriors 17

We arrived at Jared's game to discover that there was no memory card in the Nikon. The girls raced back home to get the card. I'm glad we did. We missed the first quarter....but enjoyed the rest of the game.

This is me about to go explain to the ref that if your son is elbowed in the neck, smashed in the teeth it's hard to understand why the foul is HIS. Dillon (Jared's friend/right) and Mike explained to me that smashing someone in the face is legal. We had great seats, right under the basket. LOL

As you might have noticed, Jared is the tallest player on his team. I think this makes him a target of some sort....and causes the refs to be SURE to catch any foul he makes. ::snort::

Red-Letter Day

Note: I'm reading your comments and they bring a smile to my face...but for understandable reasons I may not have time to respond to each comment. Please continue to pray for Mike. His throat is really sore and he's doing his best to preach tomorrow.

Friday was a big day for us. It was the last day that I will coordinate Produce co-op. I'll still order from Deja. I had struggled with the feeling that it was too early to cut loose the responsibility....mostly because of innocent comments from non-movers such as "you aren't moving until JUNE"....but I know I have to handle this move differently. After many conversations at lunch with children, in family circle.....I am convinced, once again, that I need to cut back early with this move, do all I can to make the move "smoooooth," and have time and FOCUS on the children and on Josiah.....this is going to be a tough move....we were a family with 9 children at home when we moved to TX....we will be a family with 5 children at home when we move.

We watched the clock count down until it was time to take Jared to basketball practice and then the rest of us raced to the airport to meet Bre and David. Mike was able to take a bit of time away from Exodus (day when buses come and all our students are heading home for their vacation....hard to explain but it is busy and lasts well into the night - Mike was home at 11 p.m.) to meet the plane.

The evening was spent trying to get a devotional done, eating, visiting and more visiting. I got up early this a.m. to bake bread and make pancakes.

Stacia loves the airport though she was a bit confused, "What? Is my Dad coming on the plane?"

Bre is telling Zander, "I'm not married, if I get married YOU will be there." For those who have asked....Krista is Zander's Love Her (lover) but evidently competition has made him decide Bre is another of his Love Hers. ::snort::

Well, the men haven't made it over from Josiah's apartment....I'll have to call soon so we can make it to Jared's basketball game. Krista arrives in 3 days!
