HOWEVER..... The Army Chief of Chaplains has issued a proclamation making today a
"global day of fasting and prayer for the protection, preservation, and
peace of military families." I, personally, am making it a day of prayer for all branches of the military and thought some of you might want to add a special prayer for military families today. Isn't it appropriate this call to prayer and fasting would come on the first day of Passover?
You can read Prayer Points here and the official proclamation from the Army Chief of Chaplains here.

Drats, wish I had known about this before I had breakfast and planned a great dinner. But I certainly will be in prayer esp for our troops today - all branches of the military.
Thanks for spreading the news!
Remember, as good as fasting is, the prayers really do reach the Throne of Grace regardless of the dinner planned! Have a great day of fellowship with the Lord, and beseech (old word, still works today) the Holy Spirit to guard, guide and protect us in the spiritual what our troops do in the physical.
I figure God will honor our prayers and hearts...even if we didn't know that the Army Chief had called for a fast.
Thanks for the prayers ladies.
Oh Mel - my pleasure. I posted it on GAFB and Central's blogs too. LOL Loved the little button. ::snort::
