DID YOU NOTICE?
One of our babies will be home in F**I*V*E* days. I really need to get those individual shopping days in this week. ::snort:: Nolan went out with Mike. Josiah doesn't need to go shopping with Mom any longer. I have five kids to take out in five days. Oy boy... The number of the day is FIVE - BreAnne will be home in FIVE days.
Go here Jamin's article on Wreaths Across America in our local paper. I'm wondering why the editor can't seem to spell his last name correct....it's been different on each article but they insist on putting "Rs" where no "Rs" should ever go. ::snort::
I'm home coughing and addressing Christmas letters. Those of you who receive them - beware. Use antibacterial wash after opening them. I've licked and handled each one. Of course, by the time they reach you those germs will have died and they will have picked up news ones along the way. LOL I ran out of cards and had to order more.....I'm remembering now the ever-growing list....we move a lot. I'll post the letter here when I hear that people have started to receive them in the mail. It wouldn't be any fun for them to read it here before they get the mail....and we are trying to marry "snail mail" with "technology". ::snort:: If you get a letter will you let me know that they've arrived and I'll post the letter here? Mike suggests I could have scanned the card and uploaded it here as well....but that would be a bit wild.....where is the balance between personal and convenience?
Krista will be home in N*I*N*E days....wow this month is going as fast as all the others in 2008 have gone. Why is that?

We have decided to stop by there on our way home from California. Micaela really wants to see Shae (Julie P.'s daughter), and Ian and I would like to see everyone else that we can- not that we wouldn't drive another day just to see Shae :) Will you be around on the 2nd or 3rd?
YES - Becky - we will be here....I"m not sure which of our older kids will be here....I think Krista goes home on the 30th....but we'd love to hug your necks and offer you a drink of water and a chat....
Thanks for the prayers Linda and Darshia. I've begun taking Mucinex around the clock and will until I can function without it. LOL I'm also drinking a LOT of lemon/honey and someone said to add ginger? How and why?
Someone else said to put vicks on my feet with socks? Why? I'm game to try it...but why? I always have to know why? It's part of my spiritual gift of teaching. LOL
I saw something on Amy's blog (Pursuit of Proverbs 31) about water with lemon and ginger working better than cough syrup. It didn't say "why" :) but here is the link.

vicks in the socks is just plain weird, but my mom insists we do it for the kids ;) She swears it works, but i'm not really faithful to do it- i love a good sweat bath. i drains everything out of the head for a while, helps you sleep and i guess sweat it out and get over the yuck quicker.
So that's how we caught this cold. LOL My bad for not keeping up with blog reading. Can germs travel through the mail? I don't imagine so but it would certainly be a fun experiment.
