Start of our HALF WAY Celebrations

I printed out the chart from the excel program that is tracking Mike's absence. It shows that we are 51% to the day when the Freedom Bird will whisk him away. We've posted this next to the other count down map we are keeping on the bulletin board of our entry way. LOL

Breakfast:

1/2 doughnuts (I was surprised to see that we had LOTS of doughnuts left)

1/2 muffins

Fruit plate (featuring halved strawberries, pineapple and apples on a bed of red grapes)

We even brought out the hot chocolate, tea, and fresh squeezed orange juice.

1/2 table cloth, 1/2 plate, 1/2 napkin and 1/2 the candles lit....add children

PS - this was REALLY cool for the kids because 1. we ate breakfast TOGETHER, 2. We had a tablecloth and 3. I'd changed the table around again. I'm always trying to find a way to make the tables work in our small eating area. IN AK we had two separate tables. Here we usually make a giant square.

How fun!
2 wks + 2 days your adult DD's are home...Sounds like another party to plan!!
The food looks yummy...I think I'll go bake.

Sounds like you had a great halfway party. I couldn't think of any ideas beyond the ones you had anyway but looks like you came up with plenty of fun and tasty things.

The 1/2 plates are SO FUNNY! Sounds like you found some great ways to celebrate the 1/2 way mark.

LOVE it! I may steal this idea for a half-way party for our school year. I think the kids would love it!

Great 1/2 way party. Love the 1/2 plates. That could be tricky with anything too messy. LOL

You are doing terrific.

You're onto ME, huh? Not sure what that means, but I hope it's good! {G}

Yes, I desire that you focus on the wonders and love in your life, not the attacking appliances! lol

My devotional this morn was James 1:2-3...How could I not think of and pray for you?

Hope the 1/2 chocolate cake was scrumptious! I made cinnamon rolls.

Always good, Darshia. I'm GLAD you think of me when you read James 1.....I'll always remember that season at the end of AK and start of TX when I read James.
