WEDNESDAY

Our day began bright and early with an eye appointment for Bre. She no longer is on our military insurance. Ouch. We got her a year's worth of contacts.

We came home for a bit. Krista had figured out how to load CD's to the ipod, but only one computer is now working well. She was busy with that job.

Josiah didn't feel well, but had to work. He worked a full day.

BreAnne and Krista went for new haircuts. I enjoy them visiting with my young (18yo) hair stylist. They talked with her about their life, vision, Master's Commission...totally new views of life for her....and I think she enjoys it as well because she hugged them goodbye.

We met Tricia and family and Adrienne and family at our city's newest park. Fun. Zander chased down an 11 year old who stole their light saber. Zander has bully tendencies...but it was nice to see him use that spunk to defend others today.

We came home to more visiting. The girls had stayed home to work on course work....Cy was home and asking about ways to clear his sinus'. I had just the thing...tea tree oil. I got it all out....managing to drop and break the bottle so the whole house now has clear sinus'....there was just enough left in the bottle to set Cy up....he reports that it worked well.....I'm going to be ordering some more oils from herbco....Heather, let me know if you want me to order anything else for you. I'll get you a bottle of tea tree oil as I know you gave me YOURS. Wow...does my whole tile floor smell like tea tree oil. I wonder how long it will last???? LOL

We are getting lots of phone calls from students, friends and Master's Staff...it's fun to see how well adjusted our little homeschooled unsocialized "misfits" are. ::snort::

I managed to make sweet potato fries, fries (LOVING that french fry slicer LOL), stroganoff, salad and fruit for dinner. . .between the phone calls and exploding tea tree oil bottles.

We are going to end the night by playing Lord of the Rings Trivia DVD game....Bre is taking pity on my sharing how I feel so outnumbered around here most days...there are lots of boys here...and I love them dearly but I miss the nicey nice things...she just came to tell me that she has a pot of tea ready...think I'll grab a cuppa and watch the children play.

Hope you all are having as wonderful breaks as we are. If only the photos would load!!!

Sis: Your day sounds super splended. Hope someone is drinking a cuppa tea for me when you all sit down. :) Does Tea tree oil smell good?

We are so glad you are having a great time.

Had a LATE breakfast with Mike's parents. Man it was a long time ago that we had seen them and we were surprised to see them this time. More on email.

Sounds like they had a great time with Rebecca.

De,
If she's no longer on your insurance you may want to look at the plan we use for her. It's VERY REASONABLE for one person and it would cover anything major that might come along that would "really" cost... meaning more than an eye or dr appt here or there. If you want info, let me know.

What a nice day. What does Tea Tree Oil smell like? Does it really work for sinus?

It is nice to hear how you are enjoying your girls.

Drats about the no health insurance for your dd. I was hoping that Master's Commission was counted as fulltime college so that the girls would stay covered.

What are some of the other ways you use Tea Tree Oil? I know it it suppose to make a wonderful cleaner and they say it is good to put a drop or two in your shampoo.

lol, well at least you won't have to worry about sleepless nights due to those stuffy noses! ;) Just 3 drops in my sink permeated the house for hours, so the majority of a bottle must really be POWERFUL!
Thank you for the offer. When do you think you will order? I will have to look and see what I might need besides Tea Tree oil. Are you also getting the lemon oil? It smells so good in the air freshener/disinfectant spray I made.

My husband uses Tea Tree Oil for his icky nailbeds. He had tried taking prescription medication for it and nothing was working. He read about Tea Tree Oil and ordered some. Within two months his toe nails are completely healed and healthy for the first time in our marriage! (17 years!) I hadn't heard about Tea Tree Oil for sinus. How do you use it for that? Should I just hold the bottle up and smell it? LOL (Seems like it would work. It's strong!) ~Yvonne

Hey DeEtta,
We can sympathize with you about insurance. Another option is to get her perscription and go to www.1800contacts.com to compare. That is where we get dh contacts, because we are only allowed "lenses" for glasses every 36 m and 24 m for contacts, so when that coverage runs out, we got to the website. We ALWAYS ask for a paper perscription written out, and by law they HAVE to give it to you, even though they don't wnat to, lol. They are MUCH more reasonable and alot of times will have free shipping.

Cindy,

Yes - do send me the name of the group you are with and I'll do some research. I'd not really considered this...but since she's too old for military and not yet settled....some sort of plan for anything big would be nice to look into.

Debbie - not sure how to describe the smell....sort of like vicks....but not toxic smelling.....um....hmmm...

Yvonne,

It worked GREAT. I must confess that Heather sent me a long paper with the benefits of various oils and I've not made it to read it....but I DO know it helps with sinus'. It really, really works.

Cy put a couple of drops in a pan of boiling water and sat with his head under a towel soaking up the vapors. You can also put a couple of drops in a hot tub to clear up.....

AND it really did shine that floor...and we all were breathing quite well by the time we went to bed. ::snort::
