This is an entry for those who have worried about my advancing decriptitude.
I have made appointments.
Tomorrow - Migraines
Dec 5 - Eyes
Mammogram - it seems the imaging center and the base have different ideas about how often I should have a mammogram. Sorry, Darhia, I dodged this one. The imaging center said yearly. The base says the current norm is once every 2 years until you are 50 even if you have a family history - unless otherwise indicated. I asked if the letter from the imaging center indicates that there is something there they want to check yearly....they asked if I'd noted any changes. Nope. There is some small chance of too much radiation being bad as well - so I will not be getting these yearly unless I note a change or until I turn 50. The base DID call back and say that if *I* wanted to have a yearly mammogram for my peace of mind, because of family history, they would allow it. I told them my peace of mind was just fine but I'd talk to Mike. He hasn't said anything - so I think I'm free for a year.
THEN the OB offbase called me. It seems I scheduled my yearly appointment with her on Nov 16, 2006... yes, SIX! WHY would I schedule a year out? Why would I schedule it the week of Thanksgiving? I was shocked. I was to do that today - but the base says no. They now have a nurse that will do those for us on base and I can't go off base. I scheduled that for next week.
I should soon be done with all the yearly maintenence issues.::snort::

LOL! Glad you're getting your maintainance check-ups! I'm all up to date for a while now too. {g}
Jamie hasn't had one in a while, I must pack him off to the doc.
LOL! Well done, Sis! Glad you dodged the stretch & squash. I'll learn tomorrow which trail to tread (dread?).
Yearly maintenance, I love it! LOL
Glad you've got most of it over for awhile now.
Well, now, it's not OVER but it's scheduled! ::snort::
Mammograms every two years??? Wow, then I'm not that far behind as I just hit the two year mark last month... I haven't gotten one here in Germany because I don't like their lack of privacy/modesty in their medical care. So now I don't feel so bad about waiting until this coming summer back stateside.
