Photobucket ADVENT INDUCTIVE STUDY

Ladies - forgive the random posts, my life is rather random on Tuesdays. ::snort::

I will have 3 weeks between the end of our next PWOC study and our Christmas break. I'm wondering....has anyone ever done the Advent Inductive Study that many of us use at home each year, in a group setting? Could it be done in 3 weeks? It would be a GREAT way to mentor Moms in how to teach the meaning of Advent to their children....and I think it would have enough meat for our childless women to enjoy it too....though I KNOW it's written for families....its an idea I had.

Has anyone ever done this? Or are you aware of another Advent/Christmas study that may work? Last time we had a break like this I ended up writing a study on Judges....I'm thinking waay ahead this time to avoid writing a study during that busy time of the year. LOL

UPDATE: Oops, I should have included a link to the 2007 Advent Inductive Study (Click the title). This study has been updated yearly in the past.

Ours typically looks different every year -- yet, the same in content. Methods and visuals differ based on where we're living, what chapel or church we're in, what we're going through as a family. I can already tell that Advent and Christmas are going to be very simple and focused this year....not a lot of distractions or extra purchases....

Candles, wreaths, Scripture readings in church/chapel, focusing on the fulfillment of prophecies of the coming of the Messiah, God's grand design for His elect....that kind of thing.

And to think! He set this whole thing up! Truly amazing is His grace!
