Photobucket Boys - Adding Exhileration to a Mom's Life

Jared was awarded this insignia at CAP - he's now a Master Sgt....and um...some sort of leader, I'll have to check again.

Josiah surprised us by stopping by for a visit in the middle of the week. Yippee! He's finishing up mid-terms and feeling good about where he is in all his classes. This "Boy" has decided to learn how to SKY DIVE!

This boy "finally" got his "own" phonics books....and continues to create his "own methods of processing piano. His teacher told me that he has his own unique way of processing the info she gives him, but he plays things fine.

Congrats, Jared! Landon is now working on his Armstrong Award which I think you do when you get promoted to Lieutenant. ??? Anyway, he has to write an essay and give a speech for that. Then the actual promotion involves a comprehensive test of all the previous material. Whew! He says after this one, the tests are open book.

Yup, that pretty much sums it up. ;-)

Skydiving! ACK! Amanda has wanted to do that for several years now, but every place we looked into said she had to be 18... the next time we go on vacation, I'm pretty sure that will be the next experience on the list. I'm fairly certain no one will be convincing me to do that. Depths (scuba) I can do... I'm NOT doing heights!

Sky diving...that's not allowed!

re: learning things differently, their own way. I have one like that and I used to worry. Now he's 14 and time has shown that although nothing he does in our homeschooling looks typical, he only retains things when he does them his own way.

I used to worry, now I leave him to it when he says no to my way and chooses his own.
