A Few Things:
1. Several have asked and I've now linked my list of election resources in the sidebar under pages....it will stay there until Nov 4th - by which time I assume most will be ready to move on to a new subject. If I had more time and energy, yes, I would compose more lists like that for y'all. ::snort::
2. Can anyone tell me what the benefits are of "following" a blog?
3. Yes, I'm fairly passionate about the right to vote. Have you REGISTERED???? If you are a citizen and have reached the age of 18?
4. Does ANYONE know how you create a graphic that you can animate. For instance, one that you can mouse over and get little pop up sayings? I know it can be done because I've seen it.

Following a blog puts it in your dashboard. If you go to your dashboard, you will see a list of all the blogs you follow and there will be snippets of new posts. Kind of a neat way to keep all the blogs you read in one place.
But, I tend to just use my bookmarked links on my browser anyway. Sometimes I will think to look at the dashboard and see what's new on the various blogs.
I know the graphics can be created in paintshop pro...they have to be created frame by frame and saved as a gif. I don't know how to do it in photoshop (or if it even has those capabilities).
I just registered a few days ago. I kept forgetting and missed several local elections...but I always said it really wouldn't matter much since I would leave this area. But there is NO WAY I will miss affecting change on a national level.
I was just going to say- following yours and other blogs helps me stay focused on my goals... I don't know many like minded folks anymore since leaving Texas. And then I realised you meant something entirely different. Hehe- this is one of those take an aspirin and sit in a corner days :)
Jen - so following is like a google reader but it's AT the blogger dashboard?
{{BECKY}} forever friends will come...moves are tough.
You go, Linda.
I didn't want to mess with listing blogs I follow on my dashboard so I just continue to use the RSS feed (LOL)... I was probably the last to sign up for that and I'll probably be the last to move from it to the newest way of keeping track of when something new is posted (LOL).
I love my reader and have it on "igoogle" so it's very EASY....best yet it WORKS for me - as you know Cindy that RSS thing never updated for me.....so I haven't followed a blog yet. LOL
already registered to vote....as a matter of fact....already voted!! georgia has early voting....thought i might be busy that first week in november....
loved the stories of kids missing kids...ours do, too....t.j. at college...nothing's quite the same yet we're adjusting...
I haven't used any other "following" type thing other than the subscriptions at Xanga, which email the posts to you, so I can't compare.
I just know this one is pretty easy. At the bottom of your dashboard will be the list of all the blogs you follow, with a box next to it with snippets of all the new posts on those blogs. You can scroll through them and then click on the post or the blog to read more.
