Is it Kosher to laugh at a child's prayers? I smile big and try my best NOT to laugh until later.
I DID ask Zander if I could share his couch time prayers from yesterday and today on Facebook and the blog. He asked me if God were on the blog and Facebook - and after we settled that issue - he agreed that I should go ahead and share his prayers wherever God may be to hear them.
Yesterday - Zander has been praying for months that we'd have another baby. He's not getting an answer as quickly as he usually does and so has changed his prayer. He's now praying that we adopt a baby. He's going so far as to tell others, "Guess what?!?!!! Mom is going to adopt a baby." This from a boy who 4 years ago caused a therapist to tell me, "I'm concerned that he refuses to interact socially." I'm more concerned these days that he DOES interact socially - with anyone he sees. ::snort::
Today - "God, please send us to Paris. Little boys like me would like that a lot better than San Antonio." I couldn't help laughing. He looked at me and said, "Mom, don't YOU think Paris would be better than San Antonio?"

ROFL!!! I love it! ;-)
Well, now, selfishly, I think San Antonio would be better than Paris... LOL
Oh, my word! How do you keep up with that kid!??!
Too cute! We've always wanted to adopt. My kid used to tell people that we were going to BUY a baby. I guess she thought that they were on the shelf next to the diapers in the baby aisle. lol Love the Paris comment!
Is he talking Paris, France or Paris, TX? I love kids' prayers!
I believe he was thinking FRANCE but the family points out with glee that there is a Paris, TX....Perris, CA....
Hey, I'd like Paris a lot better too! I've been here 5 years and have itchy feet. (Growing up in the RAF does that to you when you're an adult!){g} I wonder if Zander has heard about Disneyland, Paris?
I wanted to comment on the photo at the top. Did you take it? It's beautiful.
Too funny! I've been to both. Not sure which to pick. What is he looking for? Just what exactly does he know of Paris?? :)
And here it is almost mid-Feb and still no assignment. The AF chaplaincy is much slower than the Army JAG :) So is San Antonio a possibility? But of course you have already lived there....
Sis:
Tell Alexander that his G'Pa & G'Ma T. think Paris (France) would be a much better place than San Antionio becuase we would have a great reason to try to find a way to visit you all one Christmas or summer etc. :):):)
That foto at the top is simply to beautiful.
Love his prayers....... Goodness it is fun to think about just what God is going to do with his life and how God is going to use him. What an awesome kid.
Of course all your kids and all our G'kids (14) of them are awesome. :):)
love/prayers Mom T
LOL. Paris makes sense to me.. if you're talking France! I've been there once, but it was a very long time ago. I'd like to go again now that I'm old enough to appreciate the trip.
Hmmm Paris and a Baby you never know, maybe he knows something you don't yet!
Hayley prayed for a baby sister for years. I think it upsets her that it never happened but I remind her that she prayed for an orange kitten for about a year or more before she got one. When she was around 3 years old she started praying for an orange kitten. When she was closer to 5 years old a friend showed up one night with an orange kitten she found at work who badly needed a home. Some prayers are answered!
Gotta love good ol' San Antone!
Jodi- around here the kitten would be a bigger miracle than a new baby. ::snort:: Just kidding - though Mike has sworn "never" to have a cat and we are quiverful. LOL
