TRUCKS and BOXES

Zander is full of helpful advice for the movers....

zander move

Stacia is indignant, "What are they DOING with our things?"

We grabbed the moving book, reminded her (and all listened) what we've been telling her would happen, talked about where Zander's Dinosaurs are (on the truck heading to the ship with our hold baggage), let Stacia move her favorite things into boxes in the book....and now she's o.k.

I RESCUED my wedding dress....I simply can't imagine it in a warehouse and most likely it would be fine....but we've inherited someone's patio furniture from storage...so sometimes things get lost. I'll have the girls or mom store it for me.

Yes, I've taken tons of photos and when I can grab a moment, I'll post. You know for military gals this is old hat...this is what we do...but it seems that some of you are loving the inside look at a move. ::snort::

Deja - we're heading your way as fast as I can break away.

De'Etta,

I've hardly commented lately, being fairly boggled by the amount of - well - everything you accomplish!

I stand amazed :0)

Sis:

We will put your wedding dress on top of mine and it will be super fine. Mine is sealed and suppose you will have yours sealed and so........

the 'problem' with storage is that our goods don't get stored in crates but rather just in boxes in an area of a warehouse.... when our storage from FL was delivered to AL (after 2 yrs) we almost ended up with diving equipment..... thankfully we noticed so they put it back on the truck and hopefully it belonged to the next delivery.....
I think it was very wise to not put your dress in storage.

Yep - Renee. I'd be much more at peace if they would crate it. ::snort:: They told me they would hang my couch (leather) and I told them I didn't want to hear any more about the process. ::snort::

Oh, we've been invited up to tour the warehouse in Abilene...guess it's something spectacular and the kid would be sure to love it...the idea of Zander in a room with hanging couches takes my breath away. ::snort::

Julie and Cindy - thanks. And honestly...I'm feeling much better now that the packing is moving along.... I think I'll be able to get really excited about the move "soon"....because I stood in Lowes a few days ago and wanted to cry thinking that all I want is a house where I can pick out things I LOVE and know they'll be with me for more than 3 years...but THIS is the life God has called us too.....

There will be plenty of time for buying those things later on when you retire, but I think I understand what you're saying. Like homeschooling isn't meant for everyone, various life styles wouldn't for everyone either. I know I could never do what you do so thankfully God hasn't asked me to!

Ah but Cindy - then we won't have kids at home to share the dream home in, to grow up in the "family home" etc. Not necessarily complaining but it is part of the price we pay to answer the call during this season in our life.

Never fear, Bre, it's safe in the trailer for now. LOL
