WHINE

Here's the whine I've been holding in...WHY would someone take a van and steal things that mean nothing to them.

C'mon...Teddy Bears...MY BIBLE...my Inductive Study Bible where I've drawn arrows, marked words, done word studies for all these years...the one with the pressed yellow rose from Gram's grave and the daisies my 20 year old son gave me when he was 6.... WHY would they keep my BIBLE for goodness sakes? They just aren't very nice. I'm praying it ministers to them, but I'm ticked that they may have just tossed it.

We ARE rejoicing at what was left in the van...a Princess Pillow that means a lot to the girls. It was given to Bre by Krista and then passed down the line....STACIA'S BIBLE....Josiah's water bottle. It's o.k. but I really need my Bible now....though I'm amazed at how many verses I have memorized. ::snort:: I'll do more in the future.

I called a dear friend and wise military spouse/mentor in TX minutes ago.... she told me it's o.k. to stomp, it's o.k. to go home and it's o.k. not to bleed blue. Armed with this information I'm off to attack the day. Things are changing once again and I'll update as soon as they are set.

News stations are calling again. Hmmmm.....enough whining.

People from so many different denominations are praying.... How wonderful, just think of all the angels surrounding and holding you all up.

So you can stomp, etc. it is ok.

It does seem to be meal spirited...greedy, sure, take the van, whatever, but why did they need to dump the stuff. We are praying and praying some more. I've posted on most of my groups. You are being lifted up.

Praying for a miracle for your important lost things! It's totally alright to stomp...anyone would understand your need to do so. A Peretti novel indeed...praying for you all!

I came over here from Herding Grasshoppers. I wanted you to know that our family is joining in the prayers for you! I remember being in similar unsettled situations as the oldest of five kids, and I remember a lot of the intricacies of such things. All that to say, I'll be daily lifting you up in prayer in the midst of it all, and I'm looking forward to seeing how God works in and through you all!

Oh, I'm praying they realize the value of that Bible. Washington is (or was) the most un-churched state. Seattle has gangs, drugs, etc. and I hope whoever took the van will keep the Bible and read it. It was a great interview, De'Etta. Your whole family came off real, and genuine. Oh yeah, no one in Seattle has more than 2.3 children. It's not politically correct. I'm sure you're making a sensation. When will you sign a book deal?

It is unexplainable. I think I may have told you that our worship pastor's car was broken into awhile ago AT CHURCH no less. They stole his wife (one of the mentor/counselors at church) bag with her bible, notes from years of studies and counseling sessions, etc., as well as all of their personal paperwork for refinancing their house! It was awful... they had to close all their accounts, open new ones, etc.... WHY? It just doesn't make any sense.. like she said... fine just take the $$, but leave the bible/book stuff... which is so meaningful and precious to us!

Thanks all for the prayers. The realitiy of it is setting in. The news kept saying it was a nightmare, and I kept saying it wasn't...but I'm thinkng maybe it is becoming a nightmare. ::snort::
