Pastor Perks
Can you believe it? TRAYS of goodies. One very nice perk of being a minister's wife is that I don't have to do any Christmas baking, if I'm feeling harried or lazy. And I often am. ::snort::
It began exactly a week ago. This tray has not been empty. I assume it will be empty tomorrow....so I may have to actually bake...but the kids have been suitably impressed.
"Where did THESE come from?"
"Did you have Bible Study again?"
Since we don't often eat big amounts of refined sugar, flour et al....I don't overly worry or ration these. It's a perk.....hey, there are tough things about being a PK (Pastor's Kid), tis the season to enjoy the perks. Unlike, monetary gifts, the Air Force has not yet required us to turn over our trays of goodies. ::snort::
Bre will be home in 1 days
Krista will be home in 4 days
Jamin and Josiah will be home in 6 days

Too funny! Our children's pastor's son just arrived to play Risk with Landon a group of young men. His sister brought him and a tin of cookies saying, "Mom said with all this stuff we get from church, I don't know why we bake!" :)
Yummy!
This kids have been coming home from school all week with fists of candy...ugh! We also don't indulge in heavy sweets like this often, so I haven't been taking it away. I sure hope they eat it all up soon.
Linda - for years and years I insisted on baking, regardless. About 3 years ago I realized it made no sense. We don't NEED more. LOL What a nice perk, it's been.
