This boy inherited my need to travel with books and a laptop. ::snort::

The Face of Motherhood - and it ain't pretty. ::sniff:: BUT I'm wrapped in a warm, fuzzy hug from the Armstrong Family.

We are blessed. We have a blast together. We filled each of the girls' six days with memories, love and fun. We had longer with the boys. I'm allowing myself today to feel the pain and feel it deeply....this afternoon....

I believe this is hitting me so hard because for the first time we don't have a set time to look forward to when we'll ALL be together again. Life is getting uncertain. I suspect we'll all be at the Girls' graduation from College; that's not until May 2011. No one seems to be planning a wedding. ::snort:: Japan seems awfully far away from Oregon and Texas today....yet, it's really only a keyboard away....and we ARE so blessed to have young adults who are chasing God wholeheartedly. I rest in that. Routines when the older ones are home are familiar and comfortable...we've had decades to establish them. Routines with only five children at home are still being established...and about the time they are comfortable, we'll have four at home....and so it goes.

I will not wallow in pity.... I do Choose is Dad Earl's 92nd birthday! Thanks for all the prayers for him last Feb. Mike has been able to Skype with him.

Ah De'Etta...I don't think I've ever seen such a beautiful face. Love is written all over you.

Hugs, my friend.

So someone grabbed the camera and captured the reality of our children flying from the nest. I look just like that when MJ leaves and she's only 3.5 hrs away

I wish I could spare my daughter such hard feelings..... love you and praying for you. My heart weeps as I see and know what you are experiencing. Let the tears flow until they are done and then you will feel better faster. God Bless you and be near to you.

love/prayers --- Dad/Mom T.

{{{{{{De'Etta}}}}}} crying as I type this, I understand how you feel. When Cory left this time, we are also experiencing the same uncertainty of when we'll see him next. It hit me hard but, like you, I continue to see and search for the joy in this situation. We've witnessed the intermittent wiper moments of seeing the Godfilled young man emerge at times and yet, during others, the young boy while playing games with Matthew. I pray the memories your family created during this time sustains you, edifies you and comforts you until you're all reunited again. Hugs and prayers, my friend.
