Amusing "Sign"

From 2010-01-12 snow,games

I chuckle at some of the instructions on products we buy...though I could do no better translating to Hiragana. ::grin::

"Please don't hit a this goods at a pan and a grill."

Notice the item is to be disposed according to the "disposal classification by eachmunicipality." I need to write a garbage post one of these days.

Sounds like Japan may have great recycling like Germany... when we lived off-post we had containers for glass, a garbage can for other recyclables, a split garbage can (one part for compost and one part for actual trash - about the only thing in it was diapers and feminine products)

Yep. Too busy trying to learn how to sort garbage to write about it. LOL

Sis: love the way other countries say things when trying to help us know what to do. Been there, done that both in Liberia and the Philippines. However, Liberia did not have to many rules.

By the way what was in the package?

Can't remember Mom.

Our syntax is reversed from Japanese syntax. Neither is right or wrong - just different.

SO.....translating things can sometimes be very fun. I'm getting a taste of it this week with my "sentences". It's not "I went in the car to Chapel" it's, "I car went, chapel to".
