Photobucket Blast from the Past

Do you remember these dresses? I distinctly remember wearing these in the 70's, remember seeing photos of them in the 70's. ::snort::

I was at Walmart trying to find a life vest, pool chemicals and filters when I saw THESE. No, they weren't by the pool things. They were in fabric where I was looking for cheesecloth so that I can make yogurt covered pretzels. ::Snort::

I KNEW this would solve a problem I've been having the past few weeks: company when I'm in my swim suit. I can throw this on - it's isn't flattering, but it is modest. I bought enough to make myself one and then saw the stuff to make a shirt.There was a LOT of it - enough to sew Stacia two dresses. She calls them our swimming dresses.

I had no idea she would love matching me. The boys never want to. Arielle would rather eat artichokes than wear a dress.

RUBY - come back to school here - we miss you!!!! Are you sure there isn't one more school you could do on base? Maybe it's time to cross train. ::snort::

Sis: NICE! I am hoping that by the end of summer I'll be able to wear dresses again. :( :):):) We have been eating down our stockpile of food in the pantry. Now it is getting close to the time when we can be wiser in our purchasing and thus lose a bit of weight. :( :):):) Of course we will be working around the yard and getting a lot of exercise etc.

The dresses are a great idea. The photo of her dancing/twirling just brings out smiles. It makes me think of my "little" one when she was actually little (and not nearly my height!)

Hi D,

Yes, I had one of those. It was black with tiny white stars on it. It was very comfortable to wear, I seem to remember. I wore it with a big floppy hat. That would have been 1973. {vbg}

Yes....Dorothy, I had an almost undeniabe urge to find a floppy hat. LOL

Love them!! The 70s really? hehehe I think it looks hip and trendy and think you should totally wear it out with a pair of Birkenstocks...

LOL! I have a zippered coverup that I throw on (LOL!) I'm not much of a dress person anymore. How fun that you still have a young one to match!

Very cute!

Hayley still likes to match me but has also joined the dresses are worse than artichokes camp over the last couple years. I don't know why she stopped liking dresses.

D, I had one of those...yellow and white checks! They were so comfortable.

You and Stacia look so cute together. Isn't it wonderful when God blesses you with these little things...your little girl like to dress like you.
