As a Mother of Nine.....

...there are a few things I know for sure.

When you see something like this, investigate quickly.

Oh....oh....

When you see the above and hear your 3 yo say, "I cut my hair," you are in trouble.

Hmmm.....Thursdays are my puzzle piece days....but this child needs more help than I can give her....this is NOT simply going to be evening up her bangs or trimming the back. ::sigh::

::snort:: Now wasn't it nice of Stacia to provide a blog entry when I was fresh out of inspiration?

LOL, Okay, I'm not laughing...well, I guess I am. Sorry...even with her "punk" look, she is sooo cute.

Hey, if you need inspiration, how about telling us about the bday suprise you told us you would tell us about? :-) You left us hanging! LOL

Good luck with the hair!

Oh my! The hair cut she gave herself suits the independant look in the last picture! Very cutting edge (no pun intended).

As distressing as it may be for you (been there twice w/dd), it really looks chic. It does make her look older though.

"Cutting edge"... I love it!

The boys have never tried this... probably because I keep them "buzzed".

Thanks for the giggle! She's adorable anyway,

Love the new "do"! lol Sorry! Been there! At least it is only hair & will grow back!

I'm giggling here because she reminds me so much of how my dd looked at about that age when I heard snipping and couldn't figure out where it was coming from. Under the table... with scissors... lol We had the annual spring "cut your own hair" events until about age 8. I thought I was going to have to duct tape her thumbs down from March till May just to avoid it, but she finally grew out of it!

Oh my! I gave myself a 'no-bang-do' when I was 3 or 4, too! I think Stacia would look adorable in a short pixie haircut! It would certainly fit her personality LOL.

It made for fun pictures and memories for those of us with older children anyway!

The boys have NEVER cut their hair like this - though they reminded me last night that most of them cut their fingers deep enough for stitches.

The girls have ALL done this. I have been telling her NOT to and hididng scissors because she has given many of her "babies" hair cuts in the past couple of weeks.

I'm not sure if we'll go punk or VERY short...like over her ears. I hope to get her in today - but it will most likely be Friday or Saturday.

Hey, look at the bright side. She did practice on her dolls first. Imagine what it could have looked like. LOL! So sorry for the laughter but I think any of us with daughters can relate. Can't wait to see how this turns out.

My problem is just the opposite -- boys who run & scream when I get out the scissors or clippers.

It never ends. Wait til one of her friends cuts her hair. Audrey's friend put GUM in Audrey's hair. Then to keep the secret from her mom cut it out. It now is growing out and Audrey has this little tuft of hair popping out of the top of her head!
And Have no Fear Blog post are always in the making. The children will provide!

So are you saying that there's something wrong with hair cut over the ear?! ::snort::

ACK! And it never ends with girls, does it. Both of our dds are continually changing their hair color and sytles... by friends aspiring to be hair stylists, I guess. I almost didn't recognize one of the girls the other day from a distance.

Never a dull moment! :) Love the Cutting Edge look. Too funny. That's one I've always been thankful my kids have stayed away from - cutting their own (or siblings) hair.

Well, how nice to have your stylist's cell #.

Oh my!! I'm not giggling, really I'm ... okay I am. ;-) I have boys just like Liz's though. In fact, I was scrapbooking photos of my oldest the other day while my sister gave him a buzz. Oh the look on his face. Pure mutiny! Can't wait to see the after photos! :-)

Well - Deja - it's very CHIC on you.....but in the chunk look she created was too much....looked one of those vogue model magazines. ::snort::

Oh, Darshia, you should just SEE her throwing her head around this afternoon. She LOVES the new look....and you've nailed her personality to a tee.

LOL Gilda - true, true.

We went through this with both Marti (almost 16) and Drew (now 14). Yes, finding strings of hair on the steps is never a good thing....keeps us humble, doesn't it?!

SNORT!!!!

Kaitlyn had trouble holding still for me to trim her hair....3 days later I saw her slink into the bathroom as she proclaimed so loudly, "Mommy, I held SOOOOOOOOO still!" That in and of itself makes the mommy antennae go up and in overdrive....We had to go to the hairdresser to fix it.
