Glimpses from the Day!
We had a wonderful day. Mike spent some time up at the Dining Facility. None of our invited guests could make it. That turned out to be great. It was the first Thanksgiving in forever that we were "family only"; we liked it.
Due to the reported turkey emergency the whole day was a bit different - and we enjoyed ourselves. We missed the girls. We now have memories tucked away and Christmas decor stacked in the living room.
I couldn't help wondering if Josiah and Jamin would be with us next Thanksgiving. It seems unlikely that both would be. Jamin will be with us if we get a "good assignment". LOL

It sounds like you had a great holiday. We were missing our oldest this year. :( The slide show is so neat! I really do need to check out smilebox.
Looks like a wonderful day. I'm beginning to understand that the importance of the day isn't what you have to eat, but who you enjoy the day with. I think lasagna with your crew was just right.
I had hoped to get our Christmas decorations out as well, but I'm too tired.... If my guys were here to get everything out I might be persuaded to muster up the energy (LOL)! I think we need a few more boys!
Oh, Stephanie, I'm right there with you. It is a bit sad to do holidays and birthdays when they aren't with you.
Cindy, let me tell you it only gets harder. Mike and I were both commenting today that it takes a LOT more time to decorate with the older four gone. ::snort:: Jared and Arielle were a huge help. Nolan was a good help. The others were more chaos than help - though they tried to help. LOL
