Prayer Appreciated!

Photobucket
This is MY lighting responsibility. It's not going well. I'm about to simplify us right out of having a tree. I DID skip it the year Mike was deployed. ::snort::

Poor Mike and the boys are wrestling with the outside lights. All I have to do is string these. They all lit BEFORE I put them on the tree. Zander is WAITING (and has been for days) none to patiently to decorate the TREE.....and I have to get these puppies on their first.

To think I worried Nolan would miss decorating the tree because of Nutcracker practice. ::snort:: At this rate, he'll be here to help string the LIGHTS on the thing.

Back to work. It really is quite a funny photo. Doesn't it look sort of like the hippo in Fantasia....of course the skirt is slipping. ::snort::

Now WHY are the vertical photos either teeny tiny or HUGE? ::snort::

BTW - I AM having fun with the season...frozen turkey, naked tree and all.

LOL! Start at the top and slowly work your way round the tree in a spiral. I'll be praying for you.LOL

This is why I bought a lovely pre-lit tree at Costco one year and have never looked back. I simply cannot string lights. We, too, would go without if lighting were up to me...
I'm sure you've figured it out by now and I'll bet the results are stunning! Can't wait to see 'em!

Stringing lights are the bane of my existence at the holidays. I had to go and marry a Jewish man who never had a tree much less lights, so it quickly became my responsibility. I wonder since he's a new believer if I can weasel my way into HIM doing it this year... lol

LOL. Oh Sis, you can do it!
You're right, it does resemble an animal from Fantasia. {chuckling}

Our tree went up last night. Tonight we decorate.
Outdoor lights on the back balcony after that. I enjoy this time of year, but Easter is my favorite.

in my family, we were taught that you MUST start at the bottom. hehe that's really funny!

The lights are the hardest part! Must admit I don't like doing the lights. last year was very tricky, Tristan put on quite a few decorations BEFORE we did the lights!

We had quite a time with our lights this year! I'll blog about it.
