We were able to go inside the house yesterday. I talked with our rental agent and they've moved the base's home inspection up to Friday, 25 September. We are praying that all goes as planned and that the home is approved Friday a.m. We plan to be at housing Friday afternoon to sign a lease. Then we can pick up a key and schedule TMO. This move may really end soon. ::snort::
The home is beautiful. It WILL require some creativity. I'm sure I'll find some before we move in or shortly thereafter....or I'll post room photos and beg for YOUR ideas. ::snort:: Windy and I have been tossing ideas back and forth.
The laundry room is big. I am thinking a wall shelving unit would give us some linen storage or such.....Windy's home does have much more closet space than ours (in the entry way, the master bedroom and the bathroom). This is something you can't tell from floor plans...or at least we couldn't....but there were quite a few Japanese notations. ::snort::
Our kitchen is a great size. We'll need to figure out more pantry/cupboard space...there are cupboards, but they are not as deep as in America. We do have a wonderful closet/pantry in the dining room....we also have an extra wide kitchen. Maybe a desk, or pantry shelves, or a rocking chair will fit in that spot.....
The views are going to be beautiful. Every house has a few surprises and this one is no different. We'll be very happy here.

We've had friends that lived off-post in Germany - most houses come with NO closets, NO kitchen cabinets, NO appliances.... thankfully the Army provides military families with shrunks, cabinets and appliances... I think they also do the same for DOD civilians.
I think Jared is the perfect height for washing dishes and doing some serious praying at the same time :)
Very exciting, I am enjoying watching this house come together for you! It will be wonderful to have such a pretty view--just in time to see fall come in!
I am so jealous! :) Can't wait to see what you do with the space!
I'm so excited for your family! Praying the inspection goes off without a hitch.
Delighted the time table is moved up! Very neat that you'll soon start settling into your house.
Ah I'm thrilled for you guys!
That's SO EXCITING

Well, the saga of moving is about over. What a trip this has been. Lots to remember later.
PTL and so happy the place is beautiful. Sis, have no doubt but that you will fix it all up cute. It will all flow together when your stuff arrives.
Is the military going to do the appliances for you?
So happy for you all. Poor Jared, won't be able to do the dishes in the sink...... maybe even Arielle. Guess that will leave the short ones in the family.... like (you) Alexander and Stacia. :):):):):) Hope you get an electric dishwasher too.
love/prayers --- Mom t.
It looks like fun! I love new houses and learning all the little quirks about them. Just about the time I finally figure out the perfect solution to problems...its time to move again. lol.
So fun to see your house progressing!!!!!! Can't wait to see what you do with it.
Soooo happy for you De.
