Rice Paddies

This is the view as I went to pull out of our subdivision. Have you ever checked out rice paddies? I did....cool.

Our reading has told us that rice is a kind of grass that once grew wild in swamps.

Now the floods are kept flooded.

I can't wait to see these scenes in the winter.

Our second day of school at the Weasel's Den is ending. We'll get lunch and I have a meeting at 1:00....maybe more a bit later. Poor Jared. The library is closed and he had to come here...and it's LOUD today. Wow, is it loud! I've met a lady that lives out beyond the toll road. It was fun to visit about the drive and such.

We're kind of obvious with our books spread out and the kids taking breaks to play, rather than playing full tilt.....this has led to two new homeschoolers approaching me. Always fun to meet new folks.....and one of them is new to the chapel so I'm sure to see her again.

What a blessing it will be to get into your new home. But, De'Etta, you amaze me by your resiliency in these situations.

To God be the glory,

Julie

{{De'Etta}}, you are one month from moving into your new home, Lord permitting!! Are you counting down the days?

Does TLF have any lounge you could use for a more quiet place? Is the weather nice enough to study in a park or at the beach? Here's a challenge, how many fun "unschooling?" places can you find to study in the 20-21 school days left before you move? Aren't I a pest? :) Ok, probably best not to answer that...but I hope you're smiling! vbg (Can you tell I'm finally starting to feel better?)

30 days and then the excitement of moving followed by the simple joy of settling in. Normalcy is in sight.

We're studying bridges this week. Did you know the longest suspension bridge is in Japan? It's the, uh, never mind. It connects some city with an island. Well, that narrows it down anyway. Can you see it for us and send a video! I'm sure your school is more fun than ours. The algebra book we bought at your garage sale is getting put to good use. Keep rejoicing, sister!

Lois - the bridge is on a southern island... BUT we have the longest tunnel is the world up here....and we plan to drive it "soon".... LOL

Glad you are feeling better, Darshia.

I dreamed of parks yesterday- but it was poursing down rain. It's overcast today too - but maybe.

Yes...4 weeks and change before we can move...we ARE counting. It is hard to maintain a right attitude as time keeps adding up. LOL
