Amusing Signs

Following are some "amusing to us" signs. Please remember my disclaimer that this is NOT meant to belittle or degrade our host country. We LOVE the culture we're living in. In fact...it's made us wonder how funny some of those Spanish signs in TX may appear to a native Spanish speaker. LOL Humor is a family hall mark.....and we find it in lots of things.

Just for you, Bre! This is at the BX food court....Charley's serves rice, eggs and spam.

We so appreciate that Misawa DOES try to have signs in English too....we quickly learned that you don't have to drive far to get away from the English help. ::snort::

Sis: Thanks for sharing. Brings back so many memories for all our years in the remote areas of the PI's.

Love the signs but think my favorite is the one about dogs. :)

enjoyed your girls today. Think I am going to love Sunday's until they get to busy to spend it over here. Everyone at who puts the connection of g-tells us how much they have fallen in love with them etc.

Mom - glad you are getting lots of g'ma time.

Nate - do you want me to disable the email thing for you now?

Hm, I thought spam, rice and eggs for breakfast was an Okinawan thing--that's the only place I encountered it. Okinawans use spam a lot--it surprised me given their reputation for healthy eating, but I guess after the war it was one of the few foods available and they started cooking with it.

Spam is also big in Africa and the Philippines and Hawaii.

Those are so funny. Love: Not bring dogs to this park, with a crossed out cat!
