Now, how do you push your glasses up when your hands are full of mud?

Giving Girls Day Out a new meaning. ::snort::

Jared arrived home in time to encourage us.

Mike and the boys planned to finish the second 1/2 of the backyard today....but the sod didn't arrive at the nursery until after the boys left for House of Faith. This turned out to be great. The younger ones and I pitched in to help Mike. It was good for us to work as a team....instead of them staying inside out of the way while Mike and the boys did the work. ::snort:: I should mention it was over 100*. Thanks, guys! You were great.

In their defense, these two boys did spend several afternoons taking the yard "down to the deck". Thanks, guys!

New Sink
josiah,jared,Mike,kitchen

Shortly after we moved in one of the kids chipped our porcelain sink with our giant cast iron pan. Mike suggested a new sink years ago, but I worried that we'd chip it again. Today, Mike, Jamin and Jared all worked on installing a new sink....Josiah stopped over in the evening and ended up staying until midnight as they worked to finish this sink.

I also ran and dropped off an item with friends at the park. Double duty. ::snort:: The younger ones enjoyed a romp at the park - though I hadn't taken water and will remember it's SUMMER TIME here now.

I received several phone calls that were special.

Mandy dropped by at the perfect time for a sod break.

Tomorrow's a new day....with more projects.

Wow! I can't believe how much you guys have gotten done. Isn't it amazing how having a deadline will motivate you to do the things you've been meaning to do for years! We seems to work like that around here. :)

Sis:

Sure looks familar! Last summer Dad watched as everyone and I laid sod in our front, side and back yard. What a job both before the sod arrives and putting the stuff down. BUT!!! What a beautiful result.

Goodness, whoever buys your home is going to really be blessed by all the fix-ups.

still praying for you all as you work so hard. love Mom T.

Did you say it was 100 degrees outside? WOW. I didn't now it was that warm there already. We're in the mid 50's or low 60's this week and rain at some point everyday.
