A FUNNY - HOMESCHOOL FAILURE

*Krista has said that this is inappropriate for HER blog but that it is appropriate for MY blog...I'm not sure what that says about ME.....::snort::

I've failed my child terribly. She is woefully unprepared for life in the world. Krista was being interviewed to be a lunch buddy. She did this all last year, I'm unclear why she was having a new interview and the questions really seemed strange to me. Anyway....they were asking mundane things and all of a sudden said, "what is your s*xual preference?"

She said, "um...what do you mean?"

Them - "Are you homosexual, bi-sexual, or heterosexual?"

I guess we'd not discussed these terms. Though Josiah is surprised she didn't know the meanings.....anyway Krista sat there and logically considered this as ONLY my darling Krista would do. "Hmm....homo means one - one gender...nope. Bi- means two...well male and female - that's two. Hetero - what does THAT mean? Which am I? Bi or hetero?"

The lady reached over, patted her arm and said, "It's o.k. honey, you can confide in me!"

Krista blurted out "I LIKE MEN!!!!!"

Oh honey - that brought tears. I can just see the conversation. (Hearing it isn't enough. It's the visual!) Hopefully it's a funny story for her too. :) Poor kid!

Oh my! In Krista's defense, I've lived more than twice as long as she has, and that's a question I've never had to answer!

Sis: Now I too have to do the ROFLOL thing. Goodness in my day to even say the word Homo was a real BIG SIN! We didn't even know the other words. :)

Good answer tho and good reasoning. Not to sure I like the interviewer's way though. Gotta love my Krista tons!

Might add Victoria, her friend, and Sherri three ladies who fit the negative of these 3 words. Spent some time visiting Sherri who has cat-scratch fever and just got home from the hospital so I went to visit.... came away with a burden to pray for these 3 lovelyl young ladies who are so messed up.

My question is WHY did they ask this question? I'm not sure I would want a job that asks such things.....

Renee - yes that was my observation as well. We did discuss that this was strange....they didn't ask this last time. I put her on guard to be watching this lady very carefully.

She thought it may be something the whole Big Brother/Big Sister requires in WA but I'm more suspicious than this.

More ROFLOL, poor Krista! I guess this is something else we need to teach the kids which we shouldn't have to teach them!

Ok... that's HILARIOUS (LOL)!

It WAS hilarious - because I assumed she knew these terms...her younger brothers do...but I guess I haven't taught them.

It was DISGUSTING to me that they can get away with asking questions like that. Can you imagine if a church asked a question like that or a non-profit religious based group?????

I can't believe some other group hasn't started yelling foul and taking up a law suit. You're right though... if it were any other group and any other kid it would have caused a big problem I'm sure.
