Stacia turns ONE year old today!

In the midst of traveling we took time to celebrate Stacia’s birthday. Of course, she won’t remember anything about today – and so we don’t really get carried away with this birthday. We did have her wear the traditional G Family Party Hat…..

We had no gifts for her but Grandmother G had sent a gift months ago that we were waiting for her to grow into. She loved it….but Nolan and Zander really loved it.

As we talked I stood her up and said something to the effect of, “She’ll be walking soon” and she took SEVEN steps. We all clapped and she thought that was part of the game. She began to clap and walk…which threw her off balance…but was darling. Her timing for really walking was perfect: before dad left but not until the girls were home. Gotta love it.

She is now sleeping in her crib which has been moved to the middle of our room to make room for Bre and Krista in her room. I hadn’t realized that this new crib I bought didn’t come apart like the old one. That one just folded flat and was EASY to move this….Poor Mike and Jared had to take this one apart to get it to fit through the door! I think I’ll leave her crib in my room while Mike is gone. This will give Arielle several months of uninterrupted sleep.

I thought we’d be starting school in a week – but the kids are asking if they can wait to begin until the girls go back to Spokane. Since we only have two weeks before Mike leaves….and then a couple more weeks until the girls leave….we may do just that. I need to think and pray about it…but it seems to be “ok” to me.

We're home!!!

I'll update tomorrow with comments on our last two days of the trip....but we are HOME. We've unpacked the car, vacummed and shampooed the van seats and car, started loads of laundry, moved the crib out of Arielle's room to move the girls in, celebrated Stacia's first birthday....and we're tired. I'm currently uploading pictures so will try to have some photos before to long.
