Giving Thanks ~ Day 10!

~I'm thankful that the day is nearly over.....what a busy day! LOL

~I'm thankful for friends who helped with United so I could "stay focused".

~I'm thankful that Josiah is driving Jamin home from work tonight.

~I'm thankful that Krista called and we chatted.

~I'm thankful Mike has tomorrow off and can spend the day with the kids.

~I'm thankful that Zander slept most the day and isn't throwing up.

~I'm thankful that this came today.....haven't had time to open it, but it looks like the old one...only newer. ::snort::

Everyone's a Coach! Or Doug has the Patience of Job!

My friend, Deja, sent me this in an email today. It's too good to keep to myself. Thank you, Doug, for your patience....we'll try to keep him off the bench from now on. ::snort:: While we're on basketball, please pray for Jared (14) knee. Not sure if it's just sore or needs to be seen...and you know I'm LEAVING - right? Peace, Darshia's praying that I have peace. I don't much like leaving my babies at home, y'all. LOL

Deja's Words:

Doug told me about the intense game with Abilene. Mike and the kids were sitting right behind the bench. With the players around him, Doug would write out a play on his clipboard for them. When the players would go back out on the court, Alex would come and sit next to Doug...

"What are you writing?"

"Plays for the guys so they know what to do."

"You know what I think they should do? {licks his lips} I think you should tell them to go out, run around and around in circles until the other team gets tired of it and quits."

Back to the peanut gallery.

Doug thinks to himself, "I'm trying to keep my kids from getting crushed and Alex is helping out by offering his 2 cents."

He was really humored by it all.

I was really , really , really humored by it all."

I Take it Back! Prayer Request!

A few posts below I suspected that Zander was plotting to have a "good time" on quarantine.

This a.m. I woke up to the above. He HAS a fever. I'm not sure what is going on, because he insists it's the game piece he swallowed months ago. He's had water and will have meds later as needed. I've taken him a banana.

Please do pray this is quick and doesn't go through the whole family. I leave on a plane in the a.m. Mike leaves on Thursday. BreAnne is flying out to spend 4 days of fun and adventure with the children at home......and I don't want her to have to deal with sick kidlets the whole time we're gone. Of course, my quarantine routine usually keeps it from flying through the entire home. BTW Zander on the couch broke a big quarantine rule. ::snort::
