I took the van in to the body shop today to get the bb shot repaired. They said it would be back tonight – but it’s not. I’m hoping it’s back early in the day tomorrow.

I took Arielle to buy some shorts and summer tops. She really hates the feel of jeans and so I am trying to find her some Capri pants but Wal-mart didn’t have any.

Nolan excelled at speech therapy today.

We continued to study Africa. I found a book with fables from West Africa…the stories have been great and have been great reminders of a childhood I thought I’d forgotten. Our DK book was full of pictures and such but when I pulled out MY African dress and MY fishing basket the lessons came alive. We are reading “Trial by Poison” a fictional biography of Ma Mary Slessor. Great books. I plan to read more of them aloud to all the kids (big – little). {G}

Josiah got called into work. I’d hoped to be able to let him have the Honda tonight and not have to go anywhere…but today was also Back Yard Bible Club out at base Housing. Arielle and Nolan attend while Zander, Stacia and I enjoy the lake. The camping area is full of retirees and their road whales….but the rest of the lake area was deserted. We walked out to the tip of the docks, we played in the giant sand box (volley ball court), we played on the play ground and we found a few strawberries and a pair of sock from our trip out to the lake yesterday. {G}

NOW – I have purchased a special treat for tonight. “Sheerluck Holmes and the Golden Ruler” – gotta love Veggie Tales. We’ll watch the movie, and then I’ll put the kids in bed and have my last night of solitude. Mike comes home tomorrow!

Yippee!

Kelly, thanks for the idea! It worked. Especially for those who have recently met us and not met our babies. Bre is the oldest and is the one sitting on Krista. I love this photo - somehow it's symbolic...not sure of what but of something...mutual support???? I love the fact that they found a shop in WA and went and got this made for us.
Frustrated with the breakfast she'd been served, Stacia maneuvered over to the case of Fuji apples.....

Nolan lost another front tooth this week. He was upset when Zander washed it down the sink but I told him I'd be sure to post a picture on the blog for Dad and the girls to see.
