MOPS Mother Child Peppermint Tea

The girls and I were happy to attend a MOPS Peppermint Tea yesterday. What a blast. The discussion was lively, there were crafts for children, individual ornaments to be had, story telling, Christmas music and wonderful Christmas food. It was a joy to see Moms and CHILDREN interacting with OTHER Moms and children. So fun to see children playing and mom's visiting. Great job ladies.

Arielle suggested we dress in our most festive, jingly, jangly outfits for this occasion....we'd match for the group photo (which I'll have to scan later).

I did get other photos but they all involve children or moms who have not told me they are o.k. with an occasional guest appearance on our blog. ::snort::

We had a short steering committee meeting after the tea. I enjoyed a Skype with a regional board member. I went to the onsen with a dear friend, came home, cooked dinner and slept well. It was a great day!

Our Christmas MOPS meeting was cancelled this year. We have had snow continually for two weeks with another 6-8 inches added today. I am in southern West Virginia, but at a high elevation. The Peppermint Tea is such a good idea! Our group is small but growing. The pictures are beautiful.

Wow, Wilma, that's a lot of snow! the ladies did a great job with the tea - I was very impressed and sure to steal their ideas at future events. LOL

Years ago at our first assignment in TX, I attended MOPS - loved it. Then there was none in GA and then by the next assignment I had school age children at home and so I never even looked for a group.
sounds like a wonderful tea

This the first time that it's worked for me to be part of MOPS - all depends on the family dynamics and the season....I'm a mentor mom.
