The Co-OP FIASCO DIET – guaranteed to loose 2 lbs a week…..or your money back?

Monday – some days are just MONDAYS. {G}

Somehow Tucson Cooperative/Shop Natural lost our order. I send it online. It was ONLINE last week. I thought I was loosing my mind but two other members remember it being there too. When I didn’t get a call this weekend about what time to expect the truck tonight – I began to worry. I checked online and our order was no longer there. I called Shop Natural and they said they didn’t have any record of any order…..meanwhile I HAVE the invoices!!!! So at one time they must have had it…..but somewhere there obviously was a computer glitch. They told me that they could get our things on a truck tomorrow to Fort Stockton…but I would need to drive 150 miles to pick it up…and I don’t have the time to do this…nor the $$$ for gas. LOL This is a bummer. I personally had purchased things for the trip to make traveling with Zander easier. I guess we’ll simply have to find health food stores between here and Spokane…but really I think the farther west you go the bigger the organic market is.

I spent a good part of the day calling everyone to tell them not to come here tonight to get food.

I tried to wash diapers and the machine wouldn’t work….Josiah finally got it working. He also fixed my dishwasher but we discovered at dinner that it isn’t working right either.

Jamin is working for the folks that are housing our garden. Unfortunately, for us all, they are moving to Dallas in about 3 weeks. They have a lovely home and I’d love to buy out there…but no matter how I try to envision working it – we wouldn’t fit…unless we built an apartment in their barn…..but since we only plan to be here two more years it isn’t realistic to even attempt to buy it. LOL Jamin is helping them paint and repair the barn as the house is going on the market.

I guess I’m going to have to go buy organic at the big box stores this month. Ugh.

That’s that – my day so far. The kids are waiting for me to read Narnia to them. OH – Becky and her kidlets came over to escape the drilling at their house…so that was a bright spot in the strange day. LOL

PRAISE CRAZE!

The day at the lake turned into a very fun day. It began HOT. I mean REALLY hot! And not enjoyable at all….. somewhere in the middle of the day I took the little ones over to the pool They cooled off in the pool When we got back to the concert there was a cloud covering and a nice breeze. The bands were all very good. All in all it was a successful event. Mike and Kelly have already come up with several things they will do differently next year. However, something of this magnitude coming out of a chapel our size was a HUGE accomplishment. Kelly has been a blessing to our chapel program. There were 500 people there all told yesterday and I’m sure it will much bigger next year.

Church tonight was fun as always. It was sad that two of our lead singers are moving on. They’ve only been here since Feb – but this is the way of a student base. They are on their way to their “real careers” in the air force now that all their training is completed.

After church we headed over to Baker Street for a farewell fellowship. Debby and her family came along as well and the boys had fun catching up on the past two weeks and playing games. I had a gigantic “old fashioned ice cream soda” and will NOT do that again. I asked Debby to remind me in case I forget by next time.

Only picture from yesterday - your's truly caught in the act of blogging by ONE of several local mad photographers! {vbg} Disclaimer: the granny glasses are used ONLY for reading and computer work!

Zander, seated to my right, is informing me that Elephant one is not happy...guess he doesn't like a whale tank with an arctic birch tree for a habitat. :::snort::::
PRAISE CRAZE

For those in the local area be sure to come out to the Lake today between 1:45 – 7:45 for Praise Craze! There will be about 7 local bands playing. There will be food booths from various base organizations, if you choose to buy something. The Red Cross will be out there if you want to give blood. There will be crafts and bouncy thing for children. There is also the pool and playgrounds. It will be a great family day.

The bands will showcase a variety of music genres. The 180 (our student contemporary band) is Christian alternative, there will be Gospel, Tejana, Rap – a little bit for everyone. Proceeds from the booths will benefit various base organizations, a love offering will benefit the base chapel.

This should be a fun family day for those with families and a great day for the students of the base as well. Event brought to you by – yep – your local Air Force Chapel.

We plan to bring a cooler of foods that are “mom approved”. We plan to play, veg, and swim alternately throughout the afternoon. Hope to see some of you there.
The Boys are HOME! They had a great time. We haven’t gotten to talk much as they got home late – but we stayed up for about an hour and chatted. It was fun to hear of the friends they saw etc. Thanks to all who made their trip enjoyable…especially Dayton.

It seems that Jamin came in 3rd in a “July 2nd/4th” race in Hoonah. It was funny to hear the boys talk about it. The announcer was saying “In first, here comes Cooper; in 2nd Cooper’s father; and I don’t know whose in 3rd”. The only disappointment to ME on this trip is that they did not go Halibut fishing and thus my stock of Halibut is down to 3 measly packages. The chapel Halibut fishing trip is *TODAY*. {sigh}

While we waited for the boys to get home last night we watched a couple of ORIGINAL *Star Trek* episodes, *Chicken Little* and a few *Hogan’s Heroes* episodes. Poor Arielle, Stacia and Zander fell asleep and have not seen the boys yet.

Kwame has gone to pick up the :”boys” – young men! Well, OK, so he’s going to get PORSHE but he’ll pick up Josiah and Jamin too. {g} We are VERY excited. I teared up this morning when Jared and I were talking and realized the girls will be home in about 3 weeks…that means for a bit of time we’ll have EVERYONE home again! Yippee!!!!

Mike is home – his boss told him to “go home”. I love it when Father Jim does that.

More later.
