I'm trying to figure out HOW to make a lapbook in the shape of a Viking Longboat and STILL have room to get all the little booklets attached. If you cut the SHAPE you just won't have much room to attach extensions. Ideas? We may settle for a nice photo or drawing of a longboat on the front. ::snort::
Jared has been valiantly working away on school all day. We had a 2 hours history discussion today. Good stuff.
Spies? The kits from Rainbow Resources and Home Science Training Tools arrived for Nolan and Zander's birthday. They have a new game - Spy Ally, fingerprint kits, spy handbook, kit that teaches codes and a kit with a zillion projects to do and supplies. I thought it may be better than all the plastic spy kits we've invested in. I am seriously thinking of buying CSI/Forensic kits for science next year. ::snort::

Ok, I think I have caught up on your blog, Sappy Sue. :)
I loved your tribute to Jamin. And it has helped me in my worries I have for my boys. I so worry that they just aren't going to make it. Wow, if I get a boy 1/2 as good as Jamin I'll consider it a success. Happy Birthday.
Oh, and I haven't been to your blog recently because I've been so busy with my 'list'. ::snort::
ONE way you could shape the lapbook like a long boat is to cut the shape from poster board, attach everything, and then fold it up
Or you could cut several longboat shapes from cardstock and stack them to make a book.
Now, if your minibooks are winder than your longboat, you do indeed have a problem. :)
Ok so I've never done any of these and I was thinking lap books meant they sat in your lap not that they lapped over one another (blush). Talk to me about these please and how,why,etc... look intersting to do with Noah at least.
I've sent Holly links via FB. Didn't want anyone to think I was the type that ignored questions. LOL
Thoughtful Mom, I took your suggestion and combined it with Debbie's to do a shape book and I think I've got it. Thanks for the tips.
