Dissatisfied

It was simply to good to last. I came home from a great gathering of the body (chapel) and dinner with friends....to see THIS..... look at it!!!! I was told this would NOT BLOW OVER.

This is rather pretty, I think....next time I'll stop and frame it carefully. Could be a wonderful memento of our time in Misawa. ::snort:: So....guess it was windier here than on base.

The good news is that my laundry is DRY.... Mike Skyped. I now know where he is and a bit of what he's doing. Thanks for the flowers, Mike. What a surprise. Stacia loved her Children's Church class today. I think I averted a nasty computer worm/virus/trojan somethingorother.

Now it's time to gather my troops and see what we can do about Gladys Aylward.....

Your poor laundry fiasco is so funny! Are you sure no one or nothing is sneaking over to your place and tipping them over when you're not around? Sorry to laugh at your expense, but do you have to wash items over again? Hopefully not, because with all that wind they probably dry before you finish hanging everything.
Love you and am praying for you all.

I honestly did wonder if someone tipped this over to play a joke on me. ::snort:: The rocking chair though - but a really good prankster could have. LOL

I've moved it to the back of the house, and am hanging out more again. most things are dry and clean - so it's just frustrating but not a lot more work...other than lugging 60# blocks of cement around the yard...needed a workout routine. ::snort::

De'Etta, I bet you could move the rack back to the side and attach it to the porch posts with bungee cords...we use them to keep things from going airborne around here ;-) Might be easier to try than lugging the cinder blocks around the yard...

Is there a predominant way the wind blows (ie: south to north)... If so, then I would try turning the clothesline so that the wind blows at the end of it rather than the side.. if that makes sense.

Love that verb, "skyped"!

The wind blows through the side of our home....so by moving it to the back it's "cross wind"...but the bungee cords may work. It hasn't blown over today.

Wow! Even those blocks blew over! Should use that wind to create electricity or something!!! I went to the laundrymat for the first time in two years, yesterday. Three loads at once! Done washing in less than 30 min. (My washer in Japan took about 45.) Then drying. Well, I'm still not sure how many quarters I SHOULD have put in, but just hung the damp stuff up when we got home. Looking forward to having our laundry area set up soon!
