MARK GOETZ

Received this prayer request and wanted to post it here as I know that many of you are familiar with Precept Ministries. This is originally sent by Jan Priddy of Precept Ministries...a workshop leader and trainer....Jack and Kay here are Jack and Kay Arthur.

~*~*~*~

Because we value your prayers and because you co-labor with us and because we think of you as family, we are asking you to join us at the throne of grace on behalf of Mark Goetz, Jack and Kay's middle son. Mark was taken to the hospital on Sunday and it was determined that he had a huge blood clot on his brain. Emergency surgery was performed immediately. This is his first day out of an induced coma he was put into so his brain could rest. Only the One who is called the Alpha and the Omega knows the outcome of this life experience for Mark. Jack, Kay and the staff are resting in the knowledge of God's sovereignty and in the sufficiency of His grace.

We are asking you to pray that God will be glorified in this situation. We know that pain and suffering in life are no respecter of persons. It is how believers respond in these situations that point to a good God and bring Him glory.

The morning before Mark's emergency experience, Kay had been in Psalm 61 and 62. You might want to read it and note the repeated word "only" in Psalm 62. It is God 'ONLY' because He is absolutely sufficient. Pray that Mark's wife Leslie and their sons John and Ryan and daughter Alexandra will continue to experience the comfort that He only can give. Pray all will be continually gripped by His sovereignty and the peace of His promises.

Please pray for the Ministry and the staff as we learn to lean entirely upon the grace of God.

We think of a poem that has ministered to many over the years, and we so want the truth of this poem to become reality in each one of our lives.

My Father's way may twist and turn,
My heart may throb and ache.
But in my soul I'm glad I know,
He maketh no mistake.
My cherished plans may go astray,
My hopes may fade away.
But still I'll trust my Lord to lead
For He doth know the way.
Tho' night be dark and it may seem
That day will never break;
I'll pin my faith, my all in Him,
He maketh no mistake.
There's so much now
I cannot see,
My eyesight's far too dim;
But come what may,
I'll simply trust
And leave it all to Him.
For By and By the Mist will lift
And plain it all He'll make.Through all the way,
Tho' dark to me,
He made not one mistake.
