AWANA Award Night

We had the fun of attending AWANA Award night at Lazy Mountain Bible church. BreZaak's kids have been participating all year.  We are proud of all four for completing their books. Trudy wasn't able to be in the program this year. I took one picture before I realized Bre was up front and would take better photos.

It isn't lost on me what a blessing it is to be able to be at the kids' activities. I may not know what each of these awards are for - but I do know each represents hours of learning and memorizing scripture.

Way to go kids!

This is the one picture I took. The kids were all up front singing worship songs. I got a kick out of Annie and her friend in their own little world.

April's Tidbits

Here it is - tidbits that didn't make a blog post. Assume the parents of the child or the person in the photo sent me the photos unless the photo is watermarked.

Gideon is way more laid back than I have ever been at the dentist!

Spring has truly arrived. We are all enjoying it. Everyone is busy finishing their school year and making the most of outside hours.  Here are photos from a recent trip to a playground with CoRielle's crew. The boys have purchased their kites with their OWN earned money. Way to go!

Monday with Josi

Josi has learned a new trick. She was excited to show me over.and.over today. She can STAND UP and climb out of her highchair. ::snort::

We had another great day of playing together. Josi gives some of the BEST hugs in the world.

She has incredible concentration and determination when something catches her eye.

Determined to get Bachan's laptop

Liv and I had a nice talk about band and various instruments when she got home. I stopped by the cemetery and discovered what I had forgotten. It probably isn't wise to put fresh flowers out because you feel springy....its still cold at night. I need to get the fake ones back out there. LOL  BUT this sort of fits the mood! Trying to be hopeful, feeling it... LOL

Star Wars & Horsin Around

Stacia drove across town, picked up Allie and they went into Eagle River to meet up with Jamin and Jared at the 1000 service of ACF.  They drove on into Anchorage for lunch and caught the 20th anniversary showing of Revenge of the Sith.  I love that they were able to do this AND go to church.

Allie had us laughing as she recounted the following discussion.  Evidently, Jared asked if they remembered seeing the movie when it came out in 2005 at the Totem theater. Stacia wasn't born yet and Allie was only a year old. The boys got just a touch of what Michael and I feel with 1980 seeming to be just a blink ago. ::snort::  I love that our children range from Millennials - Gen Z.

GG, Michael and I caught the 1130 service with Carrie (and girls) and Luke (and kids).

Evening rolled around and Allie and I took some sleepy meds and were ready to call it a day.  THEN we realized Allie had left her wallet in Stacia's purse which was 40 min away. Michael is a hero and said he would go get her wallet. Seriously, he is a champ and loves us well. He soon called back with the news that two horses were out. He thought he knew where the horse belonged, but no one was answering the door. I posted on a neighborhood Facebook group. Allie and I went out. We found the horses. Some men stopped and approached homes with no answers. They left. Allie called the police department. They called animal control who called us back. Because the horses weren't heading towards the highway we were told to leave them. We went home. We did find out the owners woke up when their motion sensor lights went off and their dog began barking. They got up to check and discovered their horses missing and they came home.

Basically, we went on a midnight misadventure where Allie chased horses with her little flashlight in the dark and I sat in the heated seats of the car.

Allie had to get up early Monday morning to report to jury selection. I had to be up at 4:30 to leave the house by 5 to go watch Josi.

All ended well. What a night.
