Photobucket Pioneer Museum and America the Beautiful Park

This was another day when our plans to visit Cheyenne MTN Zoo was foiled by rain. You can read about the adventure here.

Great statues around town

Photobucket Visiting with Family in CO Springs

I felt a bit strange pulling out my camera and snapping away when a guest in someone's home...but I should have!!! You can read more about our day here.

I got no photos of Jenny (niece), Kathy (Mike's sister), Sam0(Crystal's husband of 2 years from Slovenia - renewed my desire to get an assignment to Italy), John (Jenny's boyfriend)...shame on me.

This was a great day! As mentioned Stacia adopted Crystal (Miss Pistol).

Photobucket Yes, I'm home.....

do note I said "I" and not "we're". LOL

The children and I arrived home on the 20th.....a few days ahead of schedule. We dropped Mike at a local park so that he could study for his FINAL ACSC test. YES.

I've been catching up on this and that: laundry, inventoried our TOG order, mail, laundry, cleaning, shopping, school shopping (YIKES), and loading vacation photos.

Last night we met Cy at Mr. Gattis. Mike even came in from the trailer. Arielle and Nolan had been saving pages of "tickets" to treat us to a family night out. What a joy - to actually have a fun night together here at home AND to have the children work hard to provide it. The older boys went over to spend the night at Josiah's. This will be the last time for a while, as college begins next week.

Mike discovered that the Chapel Assignment's Officer is going to be on base this a.m. so he is going in to work....and then we'll meet him at noon to bring the trailer home. I suspect the rest of the day will be taken up with unpacking and any projects Mike has been dreaming about during study breaks. ::snort::

Never fear - there are only 3 more days of vacation photos to load....and then the blog (and maybe my life?) will be back to our new normal. LOL

Photobucket Whit's End

We LOVED this stop. These are photos of Day 10. I haven't a clue about PB and size. FIRST I realized it was all the vertical photos that are small.....and I tried to load them seperately but they are still small. Then I noticed that some of them are even smaller still. I've not a clue.

They have babies that are weighted and the correct size from 6 weeks to 38 weeks gestation....Stacia was fascinated...though she was concerned the babies would poop and needed diapers. They made me a bit sad...but they were cool.

I had heard some years ago that a company bought out Focus on the Family's rights to Adventure in Odsy and that they would not be making more....but they had LOTS of new albums for sale. One just released and they all say "FoF" and "Tyndale" on them. Anyone know more about this? We now have 20 volumes right in the middle....18 - 38..... not sure if I should buy early ones or newer ones. We did note that the newer ones (which we have been listening to on the road) are more um....intense....several murders etc. We are sure enjoying them.
