Arielle and I came home from the chapel today and saw this guy in the field. I know you can barely see him. He was pretty....red head and neck....I think he is a pheasant....whatever he is, he is prettier than the crows. I'll try to catch better shots of him. LOL 

You can't see the bird at all here.....but the barn is certainly taking on a spring look.

Today

• TnT - Ps 42....I want to be able to say with David that my soul CRAVES God and God alone. I do crave God...but sadly...not always "alone"....sometimes that chocolate screams fairly loudly. 
• Great day at PWOC. Tuesdays are good for my soul. 
• PAC meeting. 
• Groceries. 
• Nolan had an end of year drama. 
• 3 sickies vegged at home. 
• Dinner.

Sister Passive Faith Goes on Retreat!

I may have had too much fun with this project? Susan, our retreat team leader, and I had discussed fun ways to get the info out about some of the things ladies have complained about when staying at a Japanese hotel in the past.....Today was the day to move on it if I was going to have an announcement slide for tomorrow..... and about that title? You'll have to come to the retreat to figure that out. 

I AM so very happy Susan and her team are doing all the hard work and I can play around with slides and such.....

Reverse Quarantine

I may have scarred my children for life. It really bothers them that the youngers won't stay in their rooms....this morning I found this on the library door....

I'm not sick so I went in......and there was a bit of a barricade to GET in....where I found this....

These are the only two of the five children showing no symptoms...and they aim to KEEP it that way. They've adapted to their culture well.

Sickies, Galatians and Sumo

• "Girls" arrive for a visit in 4 days! 
• TnT  - Gal 5. 1,6,13...we are made for FREEDOM....not to use for selfish desires but to show faith WORKING through love...it's not all about us. We are to turn around and pay it forward...serve through love (not obligation). 
• TnT - Gal 5.16-26 Want to walk in the spirit? Seem hard to picture? Sit with the Holy Spirit, be transformed and empowered by the Holy Spirit and you WILL produce fruit. It's the way of the kingdom. Walking in the spirit? How about start by walking in love, walking in joy, walking in peace, walking in patience, walking in kindness, walking in goodness,walking in faithfulness, walking in gentleness and walking in self-control. 
• TnT - Gal 6 - Examine your own work (parenting, ministry, wifedom)...you WILL reap what you've sown. Don't give up in doing good. Don't lose heart. The time of harvest is up to God. You be a faithful sower. 
• Stacia insists she's better. Zander says he has a sore throat.  Jared has a sore throat. 
• Lots of people searching for "stuff french toast recipes" and "healthy oreo recipes"  are finding the blog. It appeals to my sense of humor that they are led to Oreo Bombs....actually cracks me up to search for "healthy" and "oreo" in the same search. I'm easily amused. 
• "Trying to get this house cleaned so we can start having people over again, I'm not giving up on THAT!" ::snort:: Stacia as she zips around here making us crazy with her cleaning spree. 
• Table school x2
• Worked on some ministry projects. 
• Zander and Stacia are sure I'm punishing them not to allow them outside. 
• Watched a "local" sumo tournament "live streamed" with the kids. A whole lot of show for a few seconds of activity...but fascinating for some reason. 
• Tonight is PYOC...so I took Mackenzie (neighbor), Arielle and Nolan to Human video and on to youth group. Jared and the youngers stayed home with Michael. 
• Enjoyed a nice visit with a sister-chaplain's wife....just don't get enough time to visit. 
• Still haven't got a great handle on the demonic and the pigs or the phrase about forgiving....but that's o.k.  I'm calling it a day.

RE Spring Program

Tonight was the culmination of  the 2011/12 Religious Education Program.  All the kids sang, classes thanked teachers, cookies and sandwiches were enjoyed afterwards...it was a fun night.

We've missed so many weeks of RE that we didn't allow the younger ones to be in it...and that turned out fine as Stacia was too sick anyway and Zander enjoyed being the photographer.

Nolan is on the middle school drama team. They did a great job tonight. The play was Zaccheaus' account of Jesus miracles from Luke 9 (or is it 19).  Nolan played the parts of Jesus and the healed blind man.  They did a great job!

Sicky Sunday

• Attended 0800 service today with Michael. Stacia is sick and I knew I'd not make 1100 service. Enjoyed the sweet presence of holiness. 
• Listening to the town hall meeting  I realized we are coming up on a very busy, intense season for our family ministry. 
• Michael, Arielle, Nolan and Zander at 1100 service.  Jared has caught the Misawa Crud. 
• WOW - Rip ROARING thunder/lightening/rain and I think I saw a bit of HAIL storm! 
• Tea parties with sickies can be fun.*
• Amazing Grace - excellent movie! Epic historical movie! 
• Jared and Stacia stayed home and the rest of us went to watch the RE Spring Program. Nolan had a few parts and did well.* 
• Michael's reading The Phantom Tollbooth to the boys, Stacia is bouncing between locations, Jared and Arielle are playing some wii, I'm watching English muffins and updating. LOL
