Friday -

Speech and Produce Co-op this a.m. Krista pulled out the tea and brewed a few pots of tea near the end of pick up. It was fun to sit around and chat and relax for a bit with the ladies that were still here. See...Dorothy...I listened.

Bre has no cavities! That's always good news.

Arielle spent most of the day with a friend - always fun for her.

Jamin, Jared, Krista and I searched out a post office and mailed a package to Mike and 7 missing Algebra tests to NARS. I was sad that the little station we'd discovered in NOV. is closing. I really don't like using the post office.....must look for another little station.

I called Greyhound and was told that the route from TX to Denver is "delayed" and that the Denver station is closed. The girls do NOT want to have to spend a night at the Denver bus station. They witnessed arrests, pick pockets and more at that station. They also do not want to spend a night at the Amarillo station. {g} It appears that it will be fairly simple for us to change their tickets if the storm continues. They are scheduled to leave Sunday but we may have them leave on Monday. I'll have to figure out a good source for tracking this. Master's is fine with them arriving home late...better to spend an extra day HERE than in a bus station. We'll see what develops.

I changed our dinner plan a bit and we had Kelly's Cream of Chicken Rice Soup for dinner. Kelly - it wasn't very WW friendly when I finished with it - I added lots of cheese. LOL I also added broccoli and cauliflower so I think that cancels out the cheese calories. ::snort:: Jodi, I made your garlic pull apart rolls to go with the soup. It's been a RAINY day here - perfect opportunity to use up some veggies.

Games (Imagine Iff, Dominoes) and movies (12 Dog Christmas and Poirot's Christmas) filled our evening. I can't get photos to load again tonight; those posts will have to wait.

Sis: Sounds like you had a full day....... but a nice ending sitting and having tea etc.

Dad/I had breakfast at the Pump at 11:30 (he slept late) than when we got home Mikhail was working in the yard bagging leaves. He and I and Dad some worked ALL afternoon and I finished up at 5pm. Dad sat in his wheel chair, held a trash bag and Mikhail bagged what he had raked last week. I ended up helping and when Heather came over to see if he was done he wasn't and so he mowed the back, then we three loaded the wheelbarrel (&) and dumped into the pickup. A real full pickup, and around 12 bags of leaves. One old man walked by and commented on the fact that we are still having a LOT of leaves, like he said the most in the neighborhood. AND we still have 1 1/2 trees to go.

last week we had a huge wind storm and one tree lost 95
5 of it's green leaves and the lawn could not even be seen.

THEN Dad/I went over to Nathaniel/Heathers for baked pork and hot tub. First time Dad was able to get in the hot tup since 5/4/06. Of course Nathaniel, Heather, & I were surrounding him as he sat down, put one leg over at a time and slid into the H2o. Was harder for him to get out then in.

We are so proud of your kids and how helpful they all seem to be.

What route might the girls take back........ more thru Idaho or what? Guess we'll be praying a lot for good weather. Nice if they do get to stay extra time.

Anxious to hear all about their eventful trip.

We had that soup for dinner yesterday, too! I can't wait until I can add broccoli and cauliflower. Doug isn't able to have that stuff right now because of a med he is in. I never thought of adding cheese. I bet it was wonderful, but I'll not try it out LOL.

I hope you get an extra day with the girls and they arrive back at Masters uneventful.
